This is such a heartwarming scene. Two old friends, one of whom introduced a young Belgian to a world far beyond him and far more interesting then he could have imagined, and the Belgian who took in the knowledge and helped to understand the situation in Asia at the time, and predicted pearl harbour, reunited after so long. But the sad thing about this is, that in two years this man, whose creations are loved by children and adults alike, world-over, sadly passed away, the last story unfineshed.

I never heard about this story regarding Hergé reuniting with his long-time friend Zheng until now. This is what we called life imitating art, as if Tintin reunites with Chang in real life.

beautiful! Looking back, this friendship really was the beginning of Herge expanding his horizon towards the people of the world and overall overcoming the colonial narrative of Tintin.

OMG! I never realized that happened when I was 10 years old. Both Herge and Chang are reunited once again. This time, in God's kingdom.

I grew up reading and watching Tintin; George Remis influenced my writing too. A live action Tintin movie would be great!

Well it's not live action, but I have good news for you. Spielberg did an animated tintin recently which I think does it justice.
