Sheldon you should be raising awareness on such issues. The public safety of the common Ghanaian folks are next to inexistent. Road safety is same and we condone this on the daily. There are no proper checks for vehicle safety before they hit the road, some drivers got no licences, some no insurance, no respect for traffic regulations and it’ borderline apocalyptic. When accidents happen and lives are lost no one EVER mentions these facts. The government doesn’t care and neither does the people. It’s outrageous. People like us have had the opportunity to live outside the country and when we come back, it looks like a no man’s land out there, TOTAL chaos with no organisation or control. The new generation are going to grow believing these and the norms and I get teary thinking about this. I don’t ever want my kid to grow in such uncontrolled and dangerous environment and neither should any kid be subjected to such danger and chaos. I’ll leave it here cos if not am gonna write a whole library out here. SAFE 😒

There she goes; saying; " I do not know when that is going to change "; but she not asking herself; when is she going to help change it. Very sad we often forget that we owe a responsibility to our country.
@otuohserebour2 жыл бұрын
@@godwinnkegbe1 I totally understand you. But I just hope that whatever I would say would be a clear point and not perceived as an attack. Ghana is far better than other countries in our radar. And in that same regard, we have other countries which seem to be far off than Ghana. But I am not coming from the point where I compare our "infrastructure" and other "developments" to other countries. The habit of lawlessness which we incorporate into literally everything (and in this case in driving) is costing us a lot of lives and money for that matter. Making reference to the video once again, the dude is totally right!! We have a lot of traffic signs that are apparently supposed to be safety measures set for drivers and pedestrians but do they serve the purposes they are supposed fulfil at least 90% of the time? As he mentioned, we consider road signs as suggestions. I can remember at least more then 5 times I have been involved and witnessed crazy accidents in Ghana which were not supposed to happen in ideal cases. Not to involve personal matters but I have lost 2 people to road accidents due to the careless and irresponsible driving of our dear drivers in Ghana. There is always room for change no matter the circumstance. We do not have to sit still "just because we could be better than others" and not correct certain things which make us face potential dangers.
@otuohserebour2 жыл бұрын
@@kwameosei4623 Yes, I know and you are right. I have a hard responsibility to my country that I wish to achieve and so does everyone else. When you feel the need to change something and you do not have the support of like minded people to do so, that depreciates the built up enthusiasm (and that is mad painful!). So again, I stand by my point, I do not know when that is going to change. I do not know when our lawlessness is going to change. I do not know when we will acknowledge our downsides and work towards achieving it. I do not know when certain habits which are killing us are going to change. I do not know when a lot of things are going change, I just don't. And is it is wrong for not knowing that? I certainly do not think so. 🤷🏾♀🤷🏾♀
