I just did some bulk buying today to top off supplies. I thought I had more than enough, but with all that is going on and possibility of port strikes in January, I decided to store more. I'm sure items will just get more expensive as time goes on so I think it's smart to stock up sooner rather than later.

Stock up anything beef and dairy. Ive been buying evaporated canned milk, its just like buying gals n stays shelf stable for a long time. I add 2 cans of water to 1 can evaporated. It keeps in fridge a lot longer as well. Ive also stocked up on butter n cheeses. Both freeze well. I can ground beef precooked in patties and its stable in jars for several years. If power goes out, your frozen meats will be lost. The beef n dairy may be a prob soon due to testing of milk and vaxing cattle. Egg prices n availability are also a problem .

I recently did a 'big' shop at dollarama as pretty much everything comes from overseas via the US and soon all the new tariffs involved in politics. Prices are up a bit now but will be worse in the new year. I also topped up my linen supplies (mostly made overseas) since many items were wearing out. Next on the list are good shoes and a much needed new winter coat.

Meat, even chicken, is getting expensive. I feel sorry for people who don't know how to cook from scratch. One of our major grocery stores where I live is remodeling their stores. In the produce departments, they have cut in half their "wet wall" where fresh produce is stored . . such as celery, lettuce, etc. Interesting. They increased the meat storage space BUT decreased fresh packaged meat for meat that is industrially packaged. I now only buy organic chicken. I read where they are demanding "inoculating" cattle and chicken for bird flu. They want us dead one way or another . . .

I'm in the USA. I have been buying more GF pasta and it comes from out of the country. I just did an inventory of my 2 freezers, very low on fish and chicken. Next week big stock up on on sale meats. I keep a notebook with me when in grocery store and check sales for pantry staples. Prices are crazy! Butter that was on special last month for 2.98 a box, now 5.98 a box My cats get a half raw and half tinned diet. Tinned cat food is very expensive. It's cheaper for me to buy chicken/turkey and ground it up to feed. And if there is another strike tinned food may be very difficult to get. If that happens my cat can go on a total raw diet. Plant another row of veggies in the spring, Toni Keep calm and put the kettle on

Hope you don’t mind I give my opinion here. Beef can easily be stored in the freezer for 1 year. Pork 3-6 months, chicken up to a year. I’ve kept all these meats in the freezer for double that time or longer and it was still perfectly fine. Just make sure it’s wrapped very well. Don’t put it straight into the freezer from the grocery if you want to store it for months or longer. I like to double wrap with freezer wrapping paper, trying to get as much air as possible from the package. Hope this helps.

Only one being laughed at is the current administration. You can't wave a magic wand to undo this administration's damage.

Trump is not in office yet. Biden is the one causing the inflation by his out-of-control spending. The federal government overspending causes the dollar to be worth less, which = inflation. It will take a great deal of time and effort to bring inflation down. How do you "unspend" trillions of dollars? The spending is so extreme that the federal income tax we pay only covers the INTEREST of the money borrowed/spent. Unfathomable!

I love watching your channel thank you for sharing. Today, i was youtube watching Niel McCoy - Ward economics fianace. Geopolitical news His morning headline was you can't make this stuff up. Was very interesting to hear his views he also has to be so careful with what he says. Gave me great insight.
