listening to the Heritage Singers brings back so many wonderful memories of high school...Garden State Academy, Tranquility, NJ 1970-1974...during same time this Blessed, Talented, Witnessing Group of Diverse singers came together as one...I had their albums and wore them out literally....I'd love to find some of these during those years...in CD..if possible. This is such an inspiring mix of gospel songs I grew up with and still love ..

When you try to listen to most of today's singers, even in the "best" of churches, do you ever really feel that they honestly know what they are singing about or are they just singing to a script? Do you feel that magical tingle deep down in your spirit as they sing? As the song says, "How long has it been.....?" The Heritage Singers touch your heart so well because they are singing about Someone that they know intimately, their Savior, Jesus the Christ. How can anyone try to truly describe a sunset if they have never seen one? And unlike today's "Praise and Worship" choruses, these old hymns reach out and ouch your heart in way nothing else can. Then when you have them sung by those that know to Whom they are singing....can you feel that tingle?
