I remembered Monty Jackson in the year 1984. I was in high school. Two years later The Heritage Singers toured Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬, that included my old high school. I had since left the school 2 years earlier. Greatest Christian gospel music group ever that visited my humble school.

I grew up at very young age when i started hearing songs from the heritage singers. And i used to adore the group and love all their songs that i even memorised all the songs and would sing practically all the songs visualizing myself singing in the group, feeling so good about being part of the group. And i love the group since then till today that i sing all these songs wherever i go.. I loved the group and the songs forever and always.. My brother and I (8 and 5 years of age) had been put to bed, by the babysitter, in our home at Ragg Avenue, Tamavua, Suva, Fiji. Mum had left for her downtown concert. We two get the idea to jailbreak, we jump out the window, down the stairs, over the fence into the high grass and up the hill to the bus stop. Where, very fortunately, we met several other Seventh Day Adventists leaving the compound for the concert. We take the bus with them. We walk into the concert hall where mum is singing this song. This song is the one I associate most with her. Shortly thereafter the police come in and were no doubt glad to see us there and mum, no doubt surprised and flustered, was called from backstage for confirmation. Good times 😊

Frankly, I love the song. The beat really makes my stomach ill. I thought one day when there was a song service before a Darrell Sawyer program that i was getting the flu and so told my husband. He being trained in music from Walla Walla, by Dr. Lickey, learned the right way to sing. You all putting that beat in there made me so that i HAD TO STOP THE VIDEO. bY THE WAY, Bob Silverman and my husband did a CD TOGETHER and it is a great blessing.
