My brother and I used to sing that together in church when we were younger. My brother is 8r yes old ND has dementia now and I am 79. We dobt see each other much he lives in another state and neither r of us can drive anymore due to our gealth. I listen to this song a lot these days and its still such a beautiful song. But the words mean so much more to me now than they did when I was younger. Without him my life would be hopeless but with Jesus thank God I'm saved!

When I look back on my life I feel cheated that I did not join this group. I first saw them when I was 19 years old, in Az. Now Im 65 and I wish I could have been with them. But I could not sing at all. I could play drums and drive a bus like they had so many years. But back I just did not try harder or think I could be a part of the Heritage Singers. I wish time could go back and Id try to join this group. They have always been a favorite to me. God bless you all my dear Heritage friends. :)

Maybe I should not share this embarrassing experience I had with Max way back in the 70's. But I will anyways. I went to the heritage singer concert at Central church in Phoenix Az. I was so amazed how great the concert and songs were. I was about 20 back then. Now Im 66. When they passed the offering, I gave all I had with excitement. Not knowing how you could buy albums or tapes. After the concert was over and people were buying records and cassette tapes I was broken hearted I had no money, no credit card as I did not believe in credit. But I just had to have one of those albums with a couple of song I could not go home without. It took all my forcing will upon me to go to Max and tell him I had given all my money to the offering and did not have money to buy one album. Some of you can laugh, and sometimes it does seem funny. But not at that moment. He took me to where they were selling the albums, asked me which one I wanted, and had some lady give me one. I felt so embarrassed but something forced me to do this and I feel guilty at times. But from that day on, I went to see the Heritage singers for years to come and bought so many albums, tapes and videos from them. I still have many since I could never sell or give them away. I did give some video tapes here and there. And when I think how I had the nerve to do this, It is something I never could imagine I would do. As I write this,,, should I delete this post? Or ?? Well I will leave it since it come out good in the end. And Im so thank full to Max for all those years he stayed faithful and never stopped this gospel group. And for all the Great songs they put out, with such great beautiful singers. God bless them always. Amen.

This is my favorite gospel group of all time. And Im here listening this song as they kill innocent people in Ukraine. I cant get my mind of this as I use to go there alot and know many people there.
