Update for October 2023. CSX has added heritage units. 1827 is the B&O, 1973 is the Chessie, 1982 is the Seaboard, 1976 is the Conrail, 1869 is the C&O, and 1850 is the L&N. CSX 940 was re-painted, 5107 is stored in Cumberland, and CSX added 4568, the Operation Lifesaver unit. They have also unnafically added 6003, another Operation Lifesaver unit, and 6914 the Chessie nose paint.

Updates since this video released: CSX 173 rebuilt to CM44AC 7274 CSX 323 rebuilt to CM44AC 7272 CSX 366 rebuilt to CM44AC 7263, however it lost its sticker before it got rebuilt, back after it was repaired from the fire CSX 601 and 602 are not being rebuilt, they still remain in storage and probably will remain in storage for a long time CSX 909s Conrail sticker was removed almost immediately after it was put on CSX 940 was just repainted into YN3C and it no longer has its funny logo CSX 3099 is still in Mexico, however it is still wrecked and is being used as a parts source for Ferromex CSX 4500 is not being rebuilt, and it is being used as a parts source for other rebuilds, and will eventually be scrapped CSX 4589 has been rebuilt, and is now in YN3C paint without its spirit title CSX 5107 has been put into storage after an engine fire, it will likely be rebuilt eventually CSX 6388 was put into storage after an air conditioning fire. @@bettyacheampong5412 6914 Chessie Nose I forgot, and 1850 L&N, but the rest of these aren’t even really special engines. I will go through them. CSX 3126 has “Spirit of Brandon” written on it in terrible handwriting, it does not count as a true spirit unit. CSX 7681 had a small “Spirit of Louisville” sticker that looked a lot like CSX 12s. It was retired in 2017 and sold to GECX, and is now presumably in storage or scrapped. It is one that could be included, but the sticker was so small anyway. CSX 7860 had Conrail markings and headlights graffitied all over it last year. These were painted over pretty quickly and the unit is still in service . This doesn’t really count since it was poorly made graffiti and it wasn’t around very long. CSX 76 had “Spirit of Philly” handwritten on it. It has since been removed and it once again was a small hand written one that doesn’t really count. CSX 41 has “The Spirit of DD Rice” hand written on one side of the engine. Again, it’s a small handwritten spirit unit, and this one is only on one side. CSX 879 had “The Spirit of Daisy Piper” hand written on one side of the engine, similar to CSX 41. This one I am not sure if it is still around, but it again does not really count just like 41. CSX 5284 has “The Spirit of DD Rice” hand written on one side of the engine, just like CSX 41. Again, you know why this does not count as a true spirit unit. CSX 823 has “The Spirit of Cecil Christopher” hand written on one side. Again, same thing as all these others, doesn’t really count. CSX 3341 has “The Spirit of Jim Erwin” hand written on one side in the same style as all these others. Again, do I even need to say? CSX 4560 has nothing special I could find about it. I could not find anything that would make me think this was once a special engine. Please tell me what it was. CSX 7764, I don’t know if you’re talking about MCVX 7764, the U36B that was used for the CSX safety train and is now on display at the railroad museum in North East, PA, or CSX 7764, the C40-8W that has nothing special about it other than being the oldest CSX C40-8W in service CSX 2558 again has nothing special about it I could find, and it appears it has been scrapped a couple years ago. Please tell me what is special about this engine that made you put it on this list So overall, most of these are really not true special interest engines, with the exception of 7681, but it isn’t on the CSX roster anymore.

@@bettyacheampong5412 From all I can see, 4560 never had a C&O sticker. You may have seen the Huntington Rebuild sticker on the side and gotten that confused for it. The Huntington Rebuild sticker is put on every rebuilt SD70MAC that comes from Huntington. I have looked through tons of pictures of 2558 and I could find nothing that indicates that had anything special either. I could not find any photos of 7209 with anything noteworthy, if it does have one of those hadwritten spirit names then it does not really count

Those were AC6000s, not AC44C6Ms. The CSX CM44ACs are numbered in the 7000s, not 600s. Also CSX classifies it's AC44 rebuilds as CM44ACs, not AC44C6Ms.
