Heritage Walk Braunston to Ashby St Ledgers

There is plenty of our country's history and heritage to interest the walker. On this short trail through the Northamptonshire countryside from Braunston Marina to the beautiful village of Ashby St. Ledgers we find: Narrowboats at the junction of the Oxford and Grand Union canals; a village with thatched homes; an imposing Manor House renovated by Sir Edwin Lutyens with an infamous role in the Gunpowder Plot; an ancient church with a Norman tower; medieval wall paintings; 15c Rood Screen; a Jacobean triple decker Pulpit and much else.
