Fun Fact: Sherlock Holmes, though never inventing hologram technology, did in his books develop a chemical method to determine whether blood was that of a human or an animal. This was a technology that, at the time, was purely fictional. Forensic scientists reading his adventures realized that such a forensic tool would be invaluable, and set about making it a reality. Additionally, Star Trek directly inspired wireless phones, Spiderman's villain The Kingpin used an ankle monitor before they were a thing and Wonder Woman's writer invented the polygraph.

All looks lost... the only thing Sherlock did was made sure that every victory you had for the last what felt like 5 hours of deliberation counted. Rather than solve everything himself, he used a deus ex machina to made sure that the story mattered, and I think that is perfectly fine upon reflection. My only issue was holograms? Couldn't Sherlock sneak the queen into the audience with like a fake mustache and glasses? "After this, another judge was picked for the courtroom." "The man was bald, had a very long beard, and was experienced in being a courtroom judge for a while." "This man, who only went by the name of 'The Judge' for the sake of an event like this never happening again, would eventually pass the torch down to his son, along with the name of 'The Judge'. The passing-of-torch continues to go on to this day." (Present Day - During Court Recess) (Courtroom No. 2) (Waiting Room Lobby) JUDGE: "Ah, hello, Mr. Wright!" PHOENIX: "Your Honor! What are you doing outside your judge's chair?" JUDGE: "Ho-ho-ho, I almost forgot you've never seen me outside of it! Don't worry, I just needed to strech my legs...but now that I think about it, if you don't mind, would you take a look at this portrait with me here, if you don't mind?" PHOENIX: "Uh...sure!" PHOENIX: "(I've seen these paintings almost a million times. The only time I ever stopped to look at one was after I lost my attourney's badge. I was in a sour mood then, maybe the Judge has something in mind?)" JUDGE: The paintings in the courtroom lobbies are from the first in my family to bear the name "The Judge". I've only unearthed three of them, but I know he painted more. As for why multiple of them are always in each lobby, they are officially-made reproductions of the original artworks. I've kept the originals safe with me so they don't get smudged. The first was of a wooden bridge over a river in a dead forest. He painted it to signify that no matter how bleak it looks, there is always a way forward." PHOENIX: "(I remember seeing that portrait dozens of times before the courtroom was redesigned for a more modern era.)" JUDGE: "The second was a self-portrait of himself. It may have looked like me, but did you notice how the beard was far more...'scraggy', for lack of a better term, in the portrait? That's how you know it's him. He was never for styling his facial hair, only for keeping it clean." PHOENIX: "(Apollo probably saw that one more than I did, though I saw it when I was with him a few times. It definitely did seem like it wasn't the Judge himself, but rather an ancestor of his.)" JUDGE: "And last but not least, the one on display now. Two fancy tables with chairs on all sides, sitting neatly outside of what appears to be a castle. This was painted after he became a judge. The previous judge was an evil man who was defeated in court himself. This was painted in commemoration of becoming 'The Judge'. The seats are where the judge, jury, defense and prosecution would all sit, all equally important to a case, no one person with a higher power than the other." PHOENIX: "Hey, wait, Your Honor?" JUDGE: "Hmm?" PHOENIX: "These are great artworks, but..." PHOENIX: "...why are they all credited to 'The Judge'?" JUDGE: "Oh, that would be simple, Mr. Wright. After the evil judge was defeated (who was 'Stronghart', by the way), my ancestor decided it would be best to not use our names in court. Our job is to keep the order in the courtroom and determine the verdict. Our true names are not important." PHOENIX: "That's...rather respectable, actually." BAILIFF: "Your Honor! Mr. Wright! Recess is almost over!" JUDGE: "Oh dear, I didn't even see the time! Well, Mr. Wright, let us head back inside." PHOENIX: "You've got it, Your Honor. Time to get to work!"

This will be a very heavy spoiler. This is endgame of The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve. After revealing the true culprit (judge AND Chief of Justice) with evidence, the killer used his authority to persuade the gallery to get away. So, Herlock made an invention the night before to thwart him, and put it in use now.

Is forcing someone into murder NOT A CRIME HERE?!
@burningrabbit72782 жыл бұрын
Stronghart's entire justification is "the ends justify the means". As the people he indirectly murdered were the dregs of society, and Stronghart's ruthless tenacity in punishing crime resonated with the gallery, entirely composed of members of the judiciary. As a result, they think what he did was the right thing to do and don't want to see him punished.
@Zoe-hb2oj2 жыл бұрын
@@burningrabbit7278 Ah, I see. Albeit not a good justification, the judiciary would definitely ponder and agree with it. Barok van Zieks said something similar about his brother. Klint hated criminals so much that he became a criminal himself. But what I was confused about is that even after he confessed about forcing the people to murder, he said that he himself hadn't killed anyone. He was surrounded by fools [who agreed to kill due to Mael's blackmails], therefore feigned ignorance. So, can people not be punished for forcing others to kill? Matt Engarde was convicted for hiring de Killer, why couldn't Stronghart be convicted for the same? After that, he caused the uproar among the judiciary on how he is innocent. I wasn't questioning the justifications, I was questioning the fact that Stronghart pleaded innocence because he himself didn't lay a single finger in anyone, only forced the others to do the dirty work for him.
@Chellythefox2 жыл бұрын
It is a crime, but there's a reason why Stronghart nearly got away + he did get charged; There was no proof of Stronghart acting directly and the fact he appealed to the gallery that if any of his actions from the past 10 years became public, it would spell an end of order in England... Although that got dashed away when the Queen took power away from him by decreeing that Stronghart was to lose all of his powers, and be tried for his crimes publicly. With Matt; he was fucked regardless if he was found innocent or guilty because he broke the contract with de Killer thus painted a HUGE target on his back.
