Hermínia Storm Unleashes Chaos at Nazaré
Today’s session at Nazaré was nothing short of spectacular. With the Hermínia storm unleashing its full power, the waves were massive and chaotic, challenging even the most seasoned big wave riders. Despite the ferocious conditions, a few brave souls tried out, turning the ocean into their personal proving ground.
James Carew described the experience as “utterly humbling,” adding, “This is what you live for as a big wave surfer - testing your limits when nature is at its wildest.”
It’s was not for everyone out there today. You either commit or you’re out.
Lex O'Connor, riding his first major swell of the season, called it “a mix of adrenaline and pure fear."
Joining them were Willyam Santana, José Carlos, Eric Rebiere, Daniel Rangel and Luke Smith, who also braved the storm, showcasing true grit and determination.
As the week progresses, conditions are expected to intensify, with Hermínia promising even more jaw-dropping swells. All eyes will be on Nazaré as this legendary spot delivers yet another unforgettable chapter in big wave history.

A sessão de hoje na Nazaré foi nada menos que espetacular. Com a tempestade Hermínia a libertar toda a sua força, as ondas eram enormes e caóticas, desafiando até os surfistas de ondas grandes mais experientes. Apesar das condições adversas, algumas almas corajosas tentaram, transformando o oceano no seu campo de provas pessoal.
