You totally understand the purpose of this chair. This is a posture correcting chair. It's also warrantied for 12 years of 24/7 use. That warranty basically includes everything and I've never been able to find a complaint about the customer service. This chair is an investment in your health. Even here in the U.S., I spent a little over $1300 USD on a 15% off sale. When I compare it to the cheap chairs I've had for two years or less costing $150 USD, it's a no brainer. I'm 5' 10" and 185 lbs and have a size B for anyone interested. Before I started working from home, I sat on a Steel Case Leap that was not as comfortable for me. I need more lumbar support. That's just me.

I would buy it if it was still the classic, the thing with the remastered is.. I imagine it will wear very easy considering it does feel solid. I have an Ikea Markus which I don't like so much now because the foam has pretty much gone and my tailbone/ass gets sore from being sat for just 5 minutes in the same position. I'm 5'10 75kg. The classic I tried out in John lewis was a plasticy mess, everything felt like it was going to break from the posture fit adjustment which snapped from over-tensioning ever so easily, to the twist handles which control the tilt. I also will mention that the arm rests are alright but they're nothing compared to the classic's arm rests which are substantially better, the mesh is also worse off feeling thinner and it doesn't have tilt lock like you can't recline and lock it in the reclined position of choice unlike the classic. Also a lot of the metal such as for the housing of the box underneath the chair has been replaced with a plastic cheaper alternative. Overall now being sold a as a worse version of what it once was under the pretence of "sustainable". I wish I could justify spending the money but not for this.

Great review! I also got this chair a few months ago. 2 questions: 1) How do u get the armrests the same height? 2) doesn’t the plastic frame press ure thighs/back leg? 3) where did you look in order to know how to configure it to your body?
@honestreviews58854 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear you enjoyed the review! 🙂 I’ll answer each of your questions... 1. I just estimate the height of each arm rest by feel and sight when sat in the chair. If you really wanted to be sure they are both the same height, try putting a box over the two and use an spirit level to confirm (iPhone measure app has this included). But generally, just the way it feels has been enough for me. 2. I have not had issues with the frame and back of my leg. I sit fully back into the chair and have about a 4 finger width between the back of my knee and the frame. It could be that your chair height is not adjusted correctly? 3. There is an official HM Aeron adjustment video online which may help, here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3yqlGNuh8qlZ9k

Another way to get them level is just to get them level in relation to what you're sitting against. Line them up with your desk and make sure they're both just as high as the desk, or wherever you want to put them.

Hey there thanks for the helpful video, it's pretty obvious you've spent a fair bit getting to know this chair in and out. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind. 1. So if I understood correctly, do you actually keep the right armrest higher than the left one all the time? I have to admit I wouldn't have ever considered something like that but I can see how it makes sense. 2. Have you looked into the possibility of getting of the aftermarket headrests for the Aeron? some people seem to swear by them and I've seen the Atlas one being praised a lot. Thanks again for the review!

No worries, I’m glad you found the video helpful! Sure, I’ll answer each of your questions: 1. Yes I do occasionally keep the right armrest higher but not all the time. I only tend to this this when I’m using the mouse more then the keyboard such as browsing through documents. For best posture however, both should be level so I’m cheating a bit 🤣 2. I’ve never felt that my neck is not supported so have not considered a headrest. I’ve too read good things about Atlas, but they are pricey $$

Hi, Thanks for the review! Does the aeron have the ability to stay locked in place while using the forward tilt ? Or does it always go back to the normal position by shifting weight backwards like you show on your review.
@honestreviews58853 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for watching! I think I understand your question as: When the backwards tilt limit is enabled, can you still use forward tilt? The answer to that is yes! So, you can restrict how far back you would like and still use the forward tilt function. I would also highlight, you cannot "lock" the forward tilt functions, it is either on or off. Hope that helps with your question?

Hi, graet review. I have a slightly uneven hard flooring. I've heard there is no lock on the wheels to prevent this chair from moving. Could you advice, if in your experience, this chair will likealy to move easy on a hard floor, or maybe there is a bit of a tension on the wheels, so you actualy need to put a bit of force in order to move it. I was also wondering how long it takes for the chair being delivered. Herman Miller states that it could take up to 60 days if I select no standard build configuration. I think I would go for standard configuration but then website does not state how long it will take to deliver in such case. Did you have to wait long time from purchasing to having it delivered? Many thanks.

Thanks for watching! I'll answer each of your questions: There is no lock on the wheels, and I have not really seen this used on office chairs before. I also use it on hard floor and it works fine. The best way to describe it, it can easily move around the floor when I move the chair myself. If you're looking for more tension, perhaps consider some after-market casters or indeed a special mat. Thanks for watching the review! I find the armrests are just right for me, and would say I have average shoulder width. With the armrests turned fully in, I find the arms rest next to my body. If they were any more narrow I think this would become a bit uncomfortable! Hope that helps, and good luck with whichever chair you decided to buy!

none of these extra features are "standard" from Herman Miller unless they only sell fully decked out chairs to the UK.

UK Herman Miller store does only sell fully decked Aerons

does that plastic front dig into legs?
@honestreviews58853 жыл бұрын
Hey, good question! Nope, I have not found the plastic front to dig in. It actually does dip at the front which reduces the impact of the plastic front. If you choose the right size Aeron then you should be ok - so for example, the largest size (C) would have the deepest seat pan and increased likelihood that the plastic front would dig into your legs. Thanks for watching!

classic aeron still the best 7 recline limiter positions , remastered only has 2 !! Lumbar pad on the classic is cheap and practical , remastered looks brilliant but quite useless really. and why do you need to the armrest to slide in and out on the remastered ? Your elbow cannot reach the back .

Took delivery of an Aeron recently. Disappointed in the product. Disgusted with customer service.

If the chair is beautifull is subjective... it's a classic, personally I like the modern looks of the embody more

If it was £1000 in Sweden then I would buy it directly. It's £1700 in Sweden.

There's Herman Miller selling it for 1200 and other companies selling it for 650. Is this a joke?
@is9273 Жыл бұрын
Who are these other companies selling it for 650?

Your armrests are way too high.. They should be under your elbows when you are in that relaxed position, like most time of your video.. If you have shoulder and upper back problems it is manly because your arms are in the wrong position and make your muscles tense..

Wow, never heard that it takes time to bed in your body. Interesting

Thanks for watching! Yes its kind of crazy right, but probably highlights how many chairs are out there that encourage bad posture. I've just uploaded my latest review on the Embody Gaming chair which may be of interest to you > kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHqVeolpqLeip7s
