If you ask me, at the moment I think Ruto has a chance of succeeding in pitting the country against murima, and thereby get a second term. If he breaks his promises to murima in a way that is _truly_ unjust (not entitlement) and murima protests, but the rest of the country doesn't see it that way, he could succeed in making many Kenyans view it as an "us vs them" battle. Ruto, more than any other Kenyan +politician, is capable of doing truly unjust things, for the sake of his politics. That's partly how he consolidated his vote as Eldoret North MP and ultimately the Rift Valley kingpin.
