I found a fake garden party made exactly the same...perfectly. Hermes was not labelled anywhere on the bag and it was synthetic pebble...yet made very well even the lining. I loved it and only paid $25. I didn't know it was garden party inspired at the time 🤷‍♀️

If you clean/condition the bag the sides will never crack and will remain supple. There are some great YT on how to do this for luxury bags, which I recently learned myself. My guess is this bag will need this because of the "daily use" nature and also setting it down, it has no feet.

Sorry it took so long for me to respond. The gp30 weights 0.62 lbs and the birkin weights 1.96 lbs. There's definitely more leather in the birkin as the inside is also lined with leather, whereas the gp is lined with a textile cloth.

Probably cannot do the 30 over the shoulder. Unless you are super tiny

Since my bags are different sizes, I don't think i could give you an accurate answer. I am someone who really care about bag weight. When i tried on the leather gp36, it was significantly heavier. Unfortunately I don't have a gp30 for a direct comparison of the 30 size.
