Love this series...the more the better. I love how you show part of the local architecture. Here in the States our charity shops/thrift stores are huge. Yours are so quaint and an experience to sort thru everything. I think it's so unique to go from one to another on the same street. Ours are like having the whole street in one big store. I know there are exceptions everywhere but I think I prefer to go from small shop to another to search for treasures. So excited to go along with you on this series 💜💙💚💛🧡

I lived in Kennington, London for a time and would wander into charity shops in Pimlico - I was always stunned as to how expensive everything was especially for someone on a lemonade budget.

In particular I sometimes find it hard to know which charity shops will have a decent home goods section; most seem a lot more clothing-focused. Enjoy your travels :)

Loved this so much! I used to spend most of my free days in Camden as a teenager too growing up in London and this made me miss it so much! The noodles at the market down the bottom were the best 🤤

I loved this type of video from you . I love Charity Shop/Thifting shopping. I live near Heathrow and in the town on Ruslip we have about 8 charity shops in one high street . If you're ever up in Leeds for any reason, head to Morley Highstreet! There's around 10 charity shops there with loads of choice!

Traid is generally a bit expensive, but sometimes they have sales where everything is £3. I got merino jumpers, leather bags and gloves and a vintage silk scarf. I don't think they advertise when the sales are though!

Since I live in the US I am not familiar enough with London to suggest places to go thrifting at but know that you will find places and share with us because you are really great at this. “High street” is anything from stores like Zara/H&M etc 😁

Totally! All these stores had mens clothes (I don’t think I’ve ever been to one that doesn’t!) but I’ll keep that in mind as some have more than others. I like finding my clothes in the mens section too!

I gave up working when I started to have children , when they were older I worked in a charity shop for 2 years it's unbelievable what people bring in and money that's left in pockets of clothes. Sometimes I really dont think people realise what they are leaving in especially jewellery. I had two big black bags left in full of new handbags with labels still on them and were good brands. A black bag full of mens jeans again new with labels on tommy Hilfiger , Calvin klein . Most charity shops the staff get first option's when things are left in and if your working in the sorting out area you definitely have first option.

Whilst not wishing to damp the enthusiasm here, I find it disappointing that an awful lot if charity shops now see themselves purely for profit making. They forget that they survive because charity shops fill the need for decent cheap clothes. If for instance, you had been unemployed for some time and had been invited to a job interview, how many could buy a suit for that? But you might be able to get something suitable at a charity shop. Or so you would hope. Not so the case now though with vintage and designer rails, it is really just all about the money.

Thrifting is an americanism as they call charity shops Thrift shops. But being thrifty is English too so Anglo American I guess. Anyways the best charity shops do tend to be in upmarket areas but you get surprised no matter where you go/ live. Seaside towns in the UK have a wide selection of charity shops. You can go to busier places like Brighton or Hastings but there are towns nearby that are quieter and easier to park if driving like Bexhill on Sea or Eastbourne. If you know someone with a disability with a blue badge even better as parking is free and you both get a shared experience. Park and ride services are available in some towns which saves the hassle of parking in busy towns where there aren't enough car parks. If you live local you know where you can park for free upto two hours

Yeah Camden is ££ im not sure where is good! I love charity shops and so my husband took me to primrose hill and muswell hill but we were also disappointed. Finchley has lots and probably better. Cheap areas are awful. Wood Green is the worst. Southgate not often great. Love the North London Hospice shops though- great cause
