Great drone footage! I plan a visit to Hermitage in a couple of months. I live in Colorado, but part time in Scotland; the most beautiful place on earth! Yes, people are just lovely there. Thank you for sharing your great video with us. Fantastic! 👍🏻

Was there in 1987. Chilling place in every sense of the word. Looks like they took the scaffolding down as well. Would have loved to have gone inside when my family and I were there, but sadly the caretaker was ill and it was locked up tight.

Hi, it was closed when we were there too, not sure why. So that's why I just had a quick peek at it and took some photos too..

I went to see this castle. It's quite remote even with the road.

It is yes. When we went there was a sign saying road closed so we didn't go any further to see what was beyond.

You should change the title, Hermitage Castle is closer to Newcastleton than it is to Hawick, I can imagine a bunch of lost tourist walking around here looking for a castle that is 16 miles away 😅.

LOL, thanks for pointing it out. We stopped over at Hawick the night before and didn't think it was that far from there from memory. Should of checked via maps before stating lol....
