Since you did have some raiders later on in the episode, I think you could capture some of them - you can pacify Pillagers by letting them shoot out from their crossbows until those break. Those guys do not attack when without their crossbows (and they cannot pick up new ones), so then the only thing left would be to name them. That way you could have civilians in the base that would not harm you or the villagers, but would also not get attacked by mobs at night!

Since you used campfires as dock boards, you could slap some raw fish on a few campfores here and there to represent some bad rotting fish lying on the dock, maybe in the corners or a cluster near the edge where someone was fishing, maybe the harvested the fillets already and left the carcasses in a pile.

In the boat you could place the barrel in front of villager as a steering wheel, and a trap door under roof instead of honey block, so he won't be able to escape.

You can also build a "batea", they are some type of seafood farms that are common in the north-west cost of Spain. They are square platforms with ropes under the water

Ideas for the "Fishery Pools". 1 pool Tropical Fish, 1 pool Cod,... now for the last 2 pools we need to wait for the varied sized Salmon... 1 pool small and medium Salmon, the final pool only Large Salmon. Like the fishermen came back from a trip out and emptied their hauls and now they are being sorted out by type and size. Or maybe the Tropical fish and Cod are what is actually fished for while the Salmon are "tank breed" and "tank raised" as the main food staple of the village, thus the salmon being seperated by small/med (being raised) and Large (ready to be harvested).

Love the little shanty town!! My suggestion is going to be a little bit basic, but I feel like eatable fish like trout and salmon would look best in the fisherman pools. In the big one, maybe a couple dolphins might not hurt? They might have been rescued and waiting to be released back into the wild. It looks roomy enough, they might not drown.

The answer to the question about naming fish etc... any fish/ axolotl/ frog eggs/ tadpole that has been in a bucket will not despawn. But if you want to name them you can scoop them up and name the bucket.

I don’t know if you would need to name fish to make them permanent, but if you do you don’t need to use a name tag. If you rename the bucket with the fish in it the fish gets named.

Hi Keralis! Love the base so far! The immersion is incredible! I wonder if mangrove roots might potentially look like dirty fishing nets (I could be wrong)? I’ve also seen other people use (I think) note blocks as fishing crates, but I like the copper grates you used MUCH better! I definitely think you should expand around the lake in both directions!

It'd be so cute if you had axolotls in the cages but you know they'd escape
