I feel like there needs to be a "no elytra" day every so often, or once a week, and everyone is invited to go visit or "tour" each others bases on horseback (or pigs, camels etc) to embrace the immersion and to keep the "slow" vibe evergreen throughout the season.

I have learned SO much about how to improve my building since I started watching the Hermits, and Gem, you are who I have learned the most from! My building has gone from boxes with no shape to actual decent looking buildings!

Everybody starts out making squares and rectangles. I started playing when the game was almost new and didn't have all these videos to reference. It took me ages to figure out how to make a decent circle. I spent six months working out how redstone works because I'm too dumb to understand electronics. Hermitcraft has really changed the game

Gem, the houses are so cool! My one and only critique would be the new house looks like it is going to fall over any day now with the flimsy overhangs that support a very top heavy house. Maybe switch the over hangs for actual ground based supports and put a garden underneath? Keeps the airy vibe but with a bit less whimsy and magic holding the house together.

Thanks for the building breakdown. I know that I, and so many other builders, tend to seriously overcomplicate building. We get these big extravagant ideas. I've started building a castle in my survival world, and I've found that if I focus on one shape at a time, it's so much easier to stay patient and motivated enough to finish

Hey if you were willing to try something I like hiding signs with “eyes” on them behind leaves that will occasionally shine out using glow ink and dye. (I personally use Unicode symbols to make the eyes) it adds a nice spooky effect

Gem you should add a mushroom called Cordiceps (or the zombie mushroom) to the skull! They essentially take over an ants nervous system by attaching and growing in the Ants spine and uses the ants body to feed. They're very cool! And winter shrantells or hornes mushrooms would look really cool as well
