A couple of ideas: - for the button maze, maybe have the doors a different block, so the players know where it is, therefore knowing exactly when they pass through the door or not in time - a classic hedge maze is always fun (at the very top on the surface perhaps) - a black concrete map in almost pure darkness, maybe having it getting brighter and brighter the closer you get to the end (cover sea lanterns w black wool) - a pig maze: pig+saddle+carrots on sticks in a glass 1x1 maze so a player on a pig can navigate it, but not without a pig - Minecraft or HermitCraft trivia Edit: thank you so much for the likes, and especially to the Mumbo!

Make a painting maze! You can put empty spaces behind the paintings and they have to find where it is! What you do is make separate rooms and cover them all with paintings. And you put signs on the inside of the empty spaces and cover it. It's actually really frustrating, believe me. You'll get lost yourself.

Maybe the next maze could be made entirely out of glass, so it's hard to see the walls and such. Or, it could be completely black, and it would create he same effect, only a bit more difficult. You'd have to add carpets for the second one so nothing spawns, though.

This is a bit explainy, but it's the rock, paper, scissors maze you should try. For a next maze, mumbo, you could do an adventure kinda deal. Where they have to play rock-paper-scissors while doing another invisible maze. Rock = cobble stone, stone, andesite. Paper=paper. And scissors= shears. And they had to find the chest with the winning combo for them to unlock the door for them to go to the next maze. They get dispensed their rock, paper, or scissors when they first start, if that wasn't clear. If they get the paper, they have to make their way to the rock chest, if they get scissors they have to find the paper chest. Kind of like the key set up in the lowest maze. Is that enough explaining?

How about a maze where the walls are 1 block high (so you can see most of the maze, making it quite easy) but this walls are attached to sticky pistons and the floor has some pressure plate so that activating one makes only the walls in a close distance to the player to be "extended" (and so the player can only see a small part of the maze at a time), I hope I explained it decently

Mumbo... could you make chunk loaders under your base? Illmango knows how to do that XD
@MrHatoi6 жыл бұрын
They don't necessarily need to be loaded, they'd just need to be connected to each other on every boundary so that they unload at exactly the same time.
@SurekQomi6 жыл бұрын
gnembon made a video titled "Permanent and Remote Chunk Loading with Perma-Loader in Minecraft" around 8 months ago detailing how to make chunk loaders and how to make sure that your loaded chunks are entity-processing. That's most likely why your sorting system keeps breaking. You should be able to get away with only having the sorting system itself, and any chunks containing the item transportation hoppers as entity-processing chunks.
@MrHatoi6 жыл бұрын
SurekQomi Entity processing is unnecessary; he just needs the hoppers and redstone to be loaded. And as I said, the issue isn't the fact that they're unloading, it's that they're not unloading at the same time. If he connects the chunks like gnembom shows without loading 100 extra it would solve the problem since autosave would unload them all simultaneously, and his base wouldn't be loaded 24/7 which would be better for the server.
@SurekQomi6 жыл бұрын
True. I know I had to make an entity processing chunk that was receiving the poppies being thrown through a nether portal from the Iron Titan I built on my server to have the receiving redstone circuit keep working. Of course the Titan was built in spawn, so always loaded, and I had to match the receiving nether chunk to not cause crashes. I figured here the extra time that the sorting system would be loaded and working would allow it to actually catch up to all the stuff Mumbo has been chucking at it. :)
@coreyb14396 жыл бұрын
Mumbo, just load your chunks in accord. It doesn't take a long time

Here's an idea that works all the time when solving mazes, it might not be the quickest but it is the most efficient, ALWAYS stick to the LEFT wall. i hope you find this useful and ,hopefully none of the other hermits see this, because then they'll breeze though the entire labyrinth.
@mikeg73246 жыл бұрын
A regular maze except the floor (or ceiling which ever is easier) is glass and you have to guide a zombie through the floor (or ceiling) where the zombie is in its own maze and through mob tracking you both have to escape in a certain time period. So the zombie has its own maze above or below you and you have your own maze that you have to figure out and get the zombie through its maze by making it track you through the layer of glass.

Build a level that requires you to herd certain mobs into certain locations (on 1 of X pressure plates) which then attracts or repels other mobs onto or off of other pressure plates which open doors to escape. More of a combination puzzle than a maze (so glass walls would be best).

It suggest a labyrinth in the style of an old library or in the style of a wild garden with surprises. For example secret passages or spiders. I think you gave these corals too dense. If you still have problems with sorting system, you should read about chunk loading. If this comment will have a bit of a liking I will add a link to screenshot. Make a massive Mumbo Mustache near/close to your base (make it blend in with your base but stand out in Cubfan's map) that can be seen from a map then get cubfan to update your area in his map. This'll make everyone know it's your base.

You should build a maze Made of four different mazes much like in the invisible one: 1) the first one could have a song combination lock, at the star it plays a well known song like "old mac donald " and you would have to walk on pressure plates with noteblocks underneath to play the song and only if it's correct the exit would open ( and you would practice your noteblocks skills) 2) a maze with lava walls 3) a maze Made of only one colour (COLOR) of cocrete to confuse people 4) one that starts by pushing you on ice using slimeblocks but then suddently it gives you slowness or you have to walk on soulsand/ soulsand with underneath ice ( super evil) but watch out for the fact that you can't walk from soulsand to a normal block if you don't have a block on your head (Or something like that) I think that you should do small mazes because otherwise it would be a bit overkill to do just one giant maze.(and boring) It's maze-ception a maze within a maze within a maze ... I apologize for Any mistake I Made (I'm Italian) and if you see strange words it's the italian autocorrect. I known that some of these ideas have already been proposed so I apologize also for that Like this comment so mumbo can see it

A rat maze, basically you have to make the whole thing out of light grey, or grey glass, and you have many different tunnels where u have to fall down and climb ladders up and its extremely confusing because its very hard to see the holes and if you extend the tunnels after the holes they are very confusing and fun. BTW love your videos!

Water maze! Edit: I mean like a maze with walls that's filled with water, and tou have to get back to a spot the breathe (so they have to take of there armor so they don't have aqua affinty or something, or a room that is filled with water with a hidden button somewhere, or something like this!

To reset a map, I think you just put it through a crafting table or even just the crafting square in your inventory. If I am wrong, which I probably am, just say how you do. Oh and for the maze refer to my comment below.
@isaacthedestroyerofstuped76766 жыл бұрын
1.normal maze 2.changing maze 3.timed piston maze 4.invisible maze 5.a maze with 4 mini mazes: -a lava wall maze -the invisible maze using pressure-plates and pistons -a puzzle maze (i.e. a maze filled with piston doors activated via various redstone puzzles or even riddles!)
@ethangoldsmith93326 жыл бұрын
I was thinking of No. 3, but ever changing. I doubt it is possible
@isaace4366 жыл бұрын
I like the puzzle maze idea.
@dwightwatae39976 жыл бұрын
Ethan Goldsmith i think an ever changing maze IS possible.BUT 1:it will probably take a LOT of space thats all i can think of.i mean i heard there is a randomizer.i also heard that droppers drop it's item randomly.so maybe mumbo can take advantage of the second one.maybe like his storage system but instead of chest input,it's a dropper input,and instead of the hoppers leading to a lot of chest,it will lead to 1 chest(or is it trapped chest?)that will give a comparator output(i probably misspelled it)that will be connected to a bunch of redstone line that will power the piston which will then change the maze.now mumbo will have to make a slow redstone clock(i know it's possible)that will slowly make droppers randomly drop an item to the hopper to start the whole thing,and mumbo will have to choose what part of the maze the piston(s) will change. keep in mind i am not a redstone pro,this is just MY thought.feel free to debunk my theory of how it can work
@ethangoldsmith93326 жыл бұрын

"Why would I need 20 stacks of cobblestone wall?" I've used more than that on my survival singleplayer to connect parts of the map with roads, so I can horse my way from point to point and not have to worry about mobs, because the road is lit and creepers cant' get close enough.

I made a mini maze on a creative map i had once upon a time on my PS3 account made from oak leaves. I think a normal maze made with oak leaves (or a variety of leaf types) would do nicely as one of the layers. Maybe possibly as the final layer to calm the hermits somewhat so they know they've nearly reached the top.
