The thing about building live with an interactive audience is that the audience feels like they should offer suggestions and criticisms for improvements to the build... even if the build doesn't NEED those improvements. It's still good to encourage those kinds of discussions, because otherwise what's the point of even having an interactive audience?

The color palette is fantastic and works splendidly! You probably spent a lot of time working on the city, and it really shows! I love how many of the hermits are building cities this season, False with her far future cyberpunk city, Beef with his near future cyberpunk city, Keralis with the modern city, Xsumiavoid's utopian city, Bdub's medieval town, Scar's magical village, and probably someone else because my brain can't recall everyone's names at the moment. It's so enjoyable to watch!

I never thought of Xisuma's base as a city since the towers are so spread out, and i don't think he refers to it as anything more than his base/towers but you are right. It definitely could be considered a city / town especially since it does have ground level paths (that he doesn't use anymore).

Btw False, since you said you read every comment, I really hope you play to win in Etho’s upcoming Hurtin’ Hermits minigame. It seems right up your alley with all the parkour seeing as you’re the MCC champ two times over. :) It’s not done yet but I can’t wait for it to be finished and for you, Cub, Ren, Grian - all the experienced MCC parkour players to duke it out since the point of it is a speedrun and you’re meant to play it over and over.

I love the cyber city but I was thinking if there’s space maybe you could add some sewers in the city and maybe some secrets😏 also, im not sure if you finished the water treatment plant but I love it so maybe add something like that

If you read every comment, how do you have the time to create such phenomenal content? Like seriously, your base is awesome, and so is everything else you've been doing! Seeing your base in shaders would be awe-inspiring, but it would look horrible if you weren't already making amazing stuff. Shaders only really work if the stuff it's shading is incredible in it's own right. Keep it up!

I'd really love seeing your build with shaders! I generaly love shaders because they can just look so good while still maintaining the mincrafty feel. And the grass looks like algae have grown on the walls. It makes the water look more alive and not like a sterile pond with no life in it. Not that without it dosn't look good, it's just a different style

i think adding more into the water is a good idea. like just general waste. large cities. even future ones would have a hard time keep the water 100% clean. so finding ways to add a bit a clutter is a good thing.

I've been waiting until I caught up to suggest an elongated arch below the water paths to the main building in your base. A visual representation would be something like the New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia, USA. I think the city part of your base looks super cool!! I don't think the depth thing is a huge issue and I like that all of the buildings have a similar color scheme, it makes it look super put together as well as fitting in with the theme of the main tower! You are such an amazing builder and what you have done this season is so amazing, it is so fun to watch your base progress and grow

I've been trying to check out the other hermits, so I just started watching. That base looks so insane, I can't even imagine building on a scale like that... The whole underground city bit looks really cool, and the apartment turned out great! I'd love to see how it all looks with shaders.

OMG False, your base is looking better every time you work on it!! I really dig your aesthetic! My 2 suggestions are: 1) the walls on the inside still really need some work (which I know will be a LONG task, as your base is MASSIVE) and 2) a bit easier, under the water put some blocks on top of the bedrock to make it flat and have some kind of pattern... which would look really snazzy as someone flies over (and look AMAZING with shaders, which I'd also love to see)... but keep up the good work!! You never fail to empress me with your incredible builds!! I can't wait to see what you do next! :D

Ideas: perhaps instead of expanding color palette, you could use some different textures as accents in small but recurring areas. For example light prismarine to complement the blue-green of nylium. Other options; cyan glass & orange glass windows on sections of gray wall, iron trapdoors for ‘light gray’ accents. I love the breaking up sections with different colors. It really makes each building different, you could always add more orange lining in places where the dark gray blends together. One last thing: Dark blue concrete or dark green in the bedrock gaps to make the water a more uniform texture, but you can still break it up with color (instead of depth) Dark green wool might also look nice for algae under a block of water so it looks like the algae extends underwater.

Love the algae idea, it can only grow in stagnant water though, so you shouldn't put any where you have pipes pouring out water etc.

If you want some more life into the new build, chuck in some villagers and workstations and beds. Masons for building blocks, farmers for emeralds etc. If you have 10 to 20 of them they will wander around abit but stay close to their beds and poi. If you ad a bell they will have meetings once a day...

@FalseSymmetry as of recent updates, tnt no longer kills items, unless they were floating. So no worries, when you explode it - every block it breaks, is dropped into the world. (a second blast could destroy them all) *note, this is for TnT only, creepers do not have this effect. also the leaves in water remind me of algae or 'pond scum'

Hey false, I am an expert on "water leaves", I have lived on a river my entire life... And heres the answer to what they're called: I have no idea. I just call them water weeds. or algae. they're annoying and only appear when its warm so by the time they're gone you can't go out on the water anyways.

Yes, use shaders and rtx. Also, when you do shaders I think that would be a good time to add sea lanterns for lighting on the outside. It would really fit with your futuristic palette and add some extra lighting and color. Also, the leaves look like algae. (Also, I would comment a lot more if I knew you would read it!
