I think that is fixable by a block swapper. The water should stay a sourceblock. the challenging bit is having a button at every floor while also having people press it once, so people should know if it goes up or down. not to mention if you want to go from floor 5 to 6 and vice versa...

Iskall, for the elevator you can use a sticky piston on top of the torches facing upwards with soul sand. Then you'll build a water tube there. You place an observer at the level of the dropper, which will send a signal when the redstone torch changed, which means that it automatically resets. You can do this for every level and you're done Edit: since it's water it will also fit in Pacific's style

This is a replacement for the torch towers yes? (on top of using observers as a solution to the dispenser resetting problem) It would be faster and look pretty cool, but at the cost of using more space (to encase water in blocks)... Well, it's still less space than Iskall's current soultion though.

Iskall just use observers on the redstone line, it will fire one signal when powered, to stop water, then one when it turns off, to return water. When you flip through the pages it will pulse each twice, but when you land on a page it will only pulse once, since the redstone will remain powered. Being a redstone user I understand over-complicating stuff or not seeing clear solutions, I do it all the time on my own builds.

You could use a stair trick which allows you to remove the glass planes in the Aquarium. I don't know if it still works, but basically you place stairs at the top of the aquarium facing inwards and do the same with the bottom. You place slabs between the stairs and fill them with water and it acts as aquarium without glass. Up to you.

Suggestion for Iskall: I think that most people got hooked on the idea of pacific because of the first meeting, and how well you collaborated. However most of the progress on pacific has been done independently, and I think it would be more enjoyable from a viewers standpoint if you get on calls more have a little bit of productivity (coming up with ideas for redstone) sprinkled in the messing around. But anyway that's just a thought (:

A solution(maybe) For you elevator you’re using a red stone torch line, so instead of redstone connecting to the torch you should use an observer. So when the torch is on it flicks the dispenser on then off and when the torch turns off it will flick the dispenser on and off again.

The floors of each level in Pacific should be cyan stained glass. When you go to the top you'll have the fog effect, and same when looking up.

Instead of dispensers with water buckets, use a piston to push a block just above head height to stop you with water logged stairs in the elevator walls to replace the water source when the piston retracts

You could've put the output of your first elevator design into a sticky piston with an observer looking into one redstone line, so it pulses when turned on and turned off.

Iskall! You should have just put ONE observer on every floor, so when the floor activates it gives a tick to the dispenser, and when you switch to another one, it deactivates and the dispenser ticks the dispenser again.

IN THEORY: connecting observers to the redstone lines powering the dispensers will simplify the entire system. As soon as a floor gets "unselected" the observer will detect the change and re dispense the water and the player will go through

His first design is good. He just need to connect 'ready button with piston on top of the torch and. When block on torch is activ, he needs to add repeter who is facing in new torch tower. And like that to go to all dispanzer

You could have put an observer detecting a change in whether a floor is selected. When the page is on floor 3 the observer would detect 1 change in the lamp at the bottom and so it would pulse the dispenser. When the page is flicked to floor 4, floor 3s observer would detect a change in the lamp putting the water back.
