In this episode of Hermitcraft Season 7, Mumbo builds up a bunch of high efficiency, industrial minecraft farms in the Hermitcraft industrial district. These farms include a fully automatic Minecraft kelp farm, a fully automatic minecraft flower farm, a fully automatic minecraft tall flower farm, and an automatic nether wart farm. Mumbo Jumbo also jumps in the Hermitcraft spookification chamber for halloween scares!

I ran the numbers for each farm to calculate rates (calculations at the end if you want to double check, please correct me if they are wrong) Kelp: 775 kelp per hour General Flower Farm: 72000 flowers per hour, 45000 seeds per hour (max efficiency) Bonemeal Flower Farm: 288000 Netherwart: 806 per hour (max efficiency) Fifth farm: There is no fifth farm, recorded Mumbo lied to us. *MATH* Kelp: There are 315 blocks of dirt based on the amount of pistons required for the build, and at 7 rows tall, that means there are 45 kelp per row. Due to how random ticking works, we need to divide this by 16 to get the amount of chunks it take place in, 3. However, we also need subchunks, and at 28 blocks tall, that is a minimum of 2 subchunks tall, giving us a total of 6 subchunks. Next, we divide the total amount of kelp by the amount of subchunks it takes place in, giving us 52.5. 52.5 can then be multiplied by 3/4096, the chance of any given block being random ticked on any given tick in any given subchunk. We end up with a 1.3% chance for any kelp block to grow in this subchunk each tick. Next, we multiply by 6, because there are 6 subchunks. This gives a 7.7% chance of growth. There is one more thing to consider at this point, and that is that there is only a 14% chance of kelp growing when it gets random ticked, giving us a 1.1% chance of growth. Now, we take this value, and multiply it by 20 to get the per second rates, then by 60 to get per minute rates, and finally by 60 one last time to get the average hourly rates of 775.2 General Flower Farm: The farm appears to be run off of a hopper clock, which transfers one item every 4 ticks (0.2 seconds), and the pistons move every time an item is transferred. Bonemeal generates 0-8 flowers, 0-8 tall grass, and 8-24 grass when used on a grass block. Given the average of 4 flower, we can calculate that it create 20 flowers per second (4/0.2) on average. 20*60*60 gives us the final rate of 72000 flowers per hour. As for seeds, both grass and tall grass have a 12.5% chance to drop seeds when broken, so with an average of 20 total seed dropping blocks, we get 2.5 seeds per cycle, and 45000 per hour. This does not account for how often and how long the farm deactivates to collect items, and assumes that, if a flower/grass fails to grow, it tries to find a new spot instead of failing. Bonemeal Flower Farm: Assuming the clock runs at max speed, activating once every 2 ticks, that gives 10 flowers per second, or 36000 flowers per hour. Multiply this by the amount of double tall flowers being farmed, and you get the final total of 288000 flowers per hour. Netherwart: 46 blocks long, 5 blocks wide, 2 layers tall, total of 460 netherwart in the farm. Again, we are dealing with random tick speed, so we need to divide by subchunks. 46/16 rounds up to 3, so 153.33 netherwart per chunk. Multiply by (3/4096), then by 10% (The chance for netherwart to grow on each random tick it receives), then divide by 3 for the 4 total growth stages present, giving us rates of .00374348958333333333 netherwart per tick per subchunk. After multiplying by the amount of subchunks, then by 20, then by 3600, we get the hourly rate of 808.6 netherwart per hour. This assumes that netherwart gets harvested and replaced on the exact same tick it finishes growing. (Note to self, the wiki provides accurate timings for most crops from seeds to fully grown so I don't have to calculate it every time)

Ok, how did his motherboard analogy make so much sense. Think about it. Item Storage: CPU The water streams take in all the data and distribute it and and sort all the info(items), plus the daylight sensor verticle switch thing is kinda near there and all the yellow wires kinda come from the middle. Mob farm: CPU Cooler the layers to each mob farm kinda make it look like a heatsink and they even constantly have water flushing through them. Sugarcane farm and melon and pumpkin farm: RAM sticks The sugarcane and melon and pumpkin farm are long, thin strips that run alongside the CPU(storage system) Bamboo Farm: Solid-state M.2 It's thin and long but not too long and it stores lots of things(bamboo stalks) Kelp farm: GPU(kinda) its tall and thin(like a GPU) and powers the graphics of the machine(just like kelp powers furnaces) except the only thing is its rotated wrong. I couldn't think of anything for the tree farm or the new flower or nether wart farms but STILL! HOW DOES IT WORK SO WELL!!!

Also you can use kelp for smelting, so super smelter is very very effective
