A lot of the time they don’t. Ik Grian says that he doesn’t fit that very reason and from the looks of it hermits don’t often watch each other. The only one that Ik does is Doc, but I would assume that he wouldn’t during an event like this

Whenever events like this happen the Hermits make it a point not to watch other Hermit's content. xB even spent his entire stream this morning end raiding because he didn't want to accidentally start finding eggs until it was time to start.

If you check out Jevin's latest video, that rule was updated slightly - if the egg is visible, it's fine (so hiding them inside of farms behind glass is legal now).

I could see the breaking a block so it's easier to place and make the item frame invisible being okay. But putting the mini-stress in with the villagers that were totally sealed up feels like it's going too far. Other Hermits wouldn't think to check in there because it's impossible to access without breaking a block.

Jevin explained that they can break blocks like glass, leaves(bushes) and place then back. It's fine as long as the eggs are visible. The rule was there so that the eggs are not placed behind full blocks.

Are not full blocks, but the egg is not visible behind it...other then that, ofcourse you can find loop holes in any rule. Anyhows, I love her content

I haven't seen the video and even without hermits clarifying the rules change we should trust them to self regulate these things instead of spamming comments. Worst case if an egg does break the rules it gets disqualified, which would lower their score by 1 and thats it, its not some crazy crisis.
