I've been waiting for this episode!!! Also, Keralis. As a hint, don't go through the exit doors and stop when Vex are chasing you. They can still go through the closed door and kill you. It's why Tango built an immediate drop. The Vex can't follow you that far down. If Vex are chasing, don't stop until you've dropped down.

Dude I really don’t understand why so many of them basically casually stroll through the exit while being chased. On Tango’s stream I watched a vex chase someone inside and they were oblivious to it. If they had stopped moving like a lot of them do they would have died lol. I think Tango was right when he initially said that people aren’t scared enough of max clank.

So theoretically if a player spends over 5 minutes in the ember shop, it might not reset. That is assuming though that the shop can't reset while the game is active, which might not be the case

One of the hints was about his plot armour. So people might have thought this comment was in reference to that, and that Keralis also left his armour on accidentally. 😊

??? Every run had extremely lucky positioning of Ravagers. No one else has had luck like that in more than 1 run. Not to mention that he burned 3 extremely powerful Moment of Clarity cards, which other people are saving & declining in the shop for permanent cards. And is it efficient to fall below the sprint hunger threshold multiple times, or blindly throw the compass? You may not like the facts above. They are facts nonetheless.

@@fashnek The thing you fail to understand is that when it comes to Decked Out, Keralis is the main character. When he gets to level 3, the wardens will be hanging out in a lava pool 50 blocks away and never get a sniff of him. The aggronet will break down. He will be randomly given the best artifacts and if he comes out of the dungeon with 23 frost embers he will find a 23 frost ember card waiting for him. That is Keralis. But more seriously I'm not at all sure that "burning" those Moment of Clarity cards was a mistake. Treating them as strategy instead of luxury was always an option for getting off to a fast start, and so far Keralis is the only person I've seen do it.

Keralis's face is really perfect for Decked Out. Cutting to 3rd person and seeing his skin's wide-eyed expression at the end of the Cleansing Pearl run was truly the encapsulation of how we all felt watching that narrow, narrow escape

Omggggg the cherry on top of the first 3 runs being successful (one of them level 2) is you dying to the trap!!! Don't worry, Tango will reimburse you one shard. But don't tell any other hermits about what happened to you, it's a secret!

You're right that the dungeon is changing! The hazard block cards are what keep it from closing off doors and pathways. Also, make sure you buy tomes too, thats how you score "points" for the game, and in this first phase its how tango decides how many shards you get for phase two =)

The gold edged cards, labeled “etherial”, do get consumed. Other cards are permanent additions to your deck. The number in the upper corner of the card tells you how many of that particular card you may have in your deck of the 40 total cards allowed. But you will know all of that if you’re reading Tango’s Decked Out 2 communications, now that you’ve experienced the game blind. 😉

I think a lot of really cool stuff happened this season even with missing some hermits at the start. We had a crossover w empires, a corrupt king , a custom tcg game, a war with doc / buttercups, decked out 2, plus I think this season might have some of the best base designs yet. Only season 7 comes close. As a whole it's been all over the place but it's been fun to watch.

@Keralis, YES - the dungeon is changing, more hazard you accumulate more paths are closing. Many of those closed paths will still be available if you have a jump boost, some higher level cards give you effects like that. BTW, the Moment Of Clarity card is "ethereal", it disappears from your deck after being used, it's not returned to you when the game ends. You should ask Tango for the "supervised" run, he did it for the first several days and players were able to get their questions answered during the game or right after. P.S. Love your face ❤

I love how excited all the hermits are too, and rightly so. It really may be the most impressive all around creation in survival minecraft. The building/terraforming is great, the redstone is insane, the resource packs are perfect, the gameplay is balanced, it seems very reliable (which was the one issue with decked out 1). A few recommendations for your Decked Out runs: 1. Cards labelled as Etherial (like Moment of Clarity) can only be used in one game. They are not returned to your deck afterwards. 2. Look at what the compass says. If it says Level 1, then stay at level 1 (the one with ice). If it says Level 2, you need to find a key, then offer it to the statue, then go down the staircase to Level 2 (as you did) 3. Make sure you keep an eye out for berry bushes, it's your only source of food in the dungeon!

1) You may be crazy but not for the reasons you think. The doors are closing and walls are rising. That is called hazard. 2) Please notice that on cards like "Moment of Clarity" the Ethereal tag. This means that once it is played in your deck within the dungeon, it is gone. They are a one time use. 3) You should DEFINITELY hit up the tutorial room to hear the sounds and read the books. They will help you get through this with more knowledge. =) Good luck, Papa K

A few suggestions in case nobody told you yet: 1. Spend the time to read the books in the tutorial room (also called sound-test-room). It will help to know what the sounds you hear are indicating. 2. Try picking berries whenever you come across them. You ran out of hunger quite a bit after passing multiple berry bushes earlier in your runs. I'm assuming once your not as overwhelmed anymore, you'll learn that anyway. 3. Talk to Tango in case you haven't yet. The trap you fell for is intended, but Tango might buy your silence about it with another shard ;) 4. You got very lucky with the artifact you got in your first run. That's the highest paying one I have seen on easy difficulty and I have seen almost every Hermits run. So you might not have grasped the prices of the cards quite yet, so just know that getting the uncommon card was very lucky. 5. Moment of clarity and any other card labeled "ethereal" (under the picture) are destroyed after they are played. With a deck this small that's basically every time you have one in your deck. That's why the moment of clarity is so cheap for what it does. 6. In case you're seeing a "permanent-ethereal" card, don't be confused, how it can be both: permanent just means that the effect of this card is permanent for your entire run, so permanent cards are played immediately. Also I have to say: wow, you we're shaky. That makes it even more impressive in my opinion, that you managed to get out in your first run.

Moment of clarity is not what you want to spend your embers on! Honestly you should talk to Tango about getting reimbursed and choosing new cards for those, as well as asking if you can get the moment of clarity from your starter deck back. You didn't have anyone around when you were playing to let you know that those are "Ethereal" cards, which means if they get played when you are in the dungeon, they are gone forever! Those cards are more for end game when you have tons of embers and just have a few left over and decide to just buy a moment of clarity (the only common card left in end game that has any real value). ❤

@drefk1973 I think it should be up to Tango. I think maybe just at least one should be reimbursed. I know he can read but there's a lot of information to take in at once. If we went by the "they can read" rule, a lot of hermits should have lost their first moment of clarity cards and spent all their shards on them too. Many of them had to be warned by Tango and other hermits at the beginning of the game about what they meant. Some of them twice!

For anyone wondering, "clank" is generated by skulk sensors when you run. Generating clank makes the heartbeat go faster and when it reaches a certain point, vexes are released to hunt down the player. Also, over time certain areas of the map get blocked off randomly. This is called "hazard". The only way you can "win" a run is to find the relic that your compass is pointing to and bring it back to the start of the map. The only thing the difficulty changes is which relic your compass will point to, so higher difficulty means you need to go deeper into the dungeon to find the relic. On easy, the relic will always be in level one, so a key is unnecessary if you are playing on easy. To get further in the dungeon, you need to find a key and drop it in a certain area to open secret doors leading downward to the next level. There are three basic functions of cards you can put in your deck that affect the map. At the beginning of your run, the deck will be shuffled and the cards will be played at random intervals. Certain cards block clank giving you more time, others block hazards allowing more options of movement. Treasure hunter cards increase the chance that crowns, gold, and keys will drop. There are also cards that give you porkchops and ones that activate jump boost, allowing you to reach otherwise inaccessible areas of the dungeon. "Ethereal" cards can only be used on one run. "Permanent" cards are played as soon as you enter the dungeon and remain active for the duration of your run. Frost embers can only be spent in the shop after a run, and whatever you have leftover cannot be taken with you so you have to spend them or lose them. Coins and crowns can be taken out of the game and collected, and can be spent in the other shop in the waiting area for the dungeon. 4 coins = 1 crown. If I have missed something, feel free to add it in the replies. I hope this helps some of you to follow along!

You are the most improbable runner yet. Every time you stop dead in your tracks to ponder the scenery when you have Vex or Ravagers inches away from you, I nearly have a heart attack. Also berries! Also Also, since I know you would like this - Tango just implemented free novelty replicas of the artifacts. It's at the other end of the ember shop by the forge. You can collect the artifact you recovered during that run for bragging rights or as a display piece.

Also, don't forget to take your well earned crowns out of the barrel, after exchanging them for coins, before you jump to your death of supreme victory. These runs were incredible in the RNG department, great artifacts (though you don't want to keep them, they are only worth the frost embers they get)! There seems to be a bit of confusion between how hazard works (it does change the walls of the dungeon) and a few other things, but even missing this you kept a level head and showed you were just that good at Decked Out! Once you know the secrets of the dungeon, you will certainly be a force to be reckoned with once again. Keep up the great content!

Keralis really did great here. The fact that he isn’t getting that much berries and still manage to complete the run specially the pearl run were there are vexes yet he escaped it not to mention how chaotic it was which makes it 1000x better! Keralis, please get more berries throughout the run! You can survive a ravager hit if you have about 10 berries and not being able to sprint can get you killed. And shift on magma blocks, so you don't take damage from it! Also listen to the heartbeat. At max clank, the heartbeat thumps like crazy and the vex will come eat your face. And last, hazard closes off pathways the longer you are in the dungeon, so yes, the dungeon changes the longer you stay in.

You have NO idea how lucky you were! 3 rounds without a death, getting some of the most valuable Level 1 artifacts and escaping vexes on the 2nd run, then you get a level 2 artifact RIGHT by the entrance to level 2 and manage to escape vexes again! Brilliant.
