I go caving irl and I can 100% advise looking backwards regularly if you're wanting to find the way out. You'll be surprised how different things look coming back the other way. My other tip is to name things. Really notable features are easy, but where they're sparse any weird looking rock can become implanted in your mind if you give it a creative descriptive name.

Why is no one talking about how this 1 hour video is fully subtitled with color-coding for each hermit? Decked out is absolutely unbelievably amazing, sure, but no one is appreciating how long it must've took to do all those subtitles. Big props to both Tango and whoever made the subtitles for this video, you both deserve it!

I'm pretty sure Grian does the subtitles
@jettadin
@jettadin 7 ай бұрын
The subtitles are genuinely so helpful and I've loved every single episode that has had them even more than the last. It's so much easier to watch now that I can tell who's talking even at a moment's glance! Decked Out is a monster all its own as well, and I love every single bit of it (even if Decked Out gives me mild heart attacks even watching it--Tango did an amazing job building it!)

@4rdency
@4rdency 6 ай бұрын
@@gibben0803 Personally, I just have a hard time understanding certain words/phrases in videos, so subtitles being there helps a lot so I don't get confused on what's happening. Also cuz, to my knowledge, subtitling using the youtube subtitles is extremely tedious, so one can at least appreciate the time and effort, even if it doesn't help them.

Doubt the comment was read, or if it was doubt it was considered, but the idea is out there. Totally agree! When it was finally Grian's turn after all the games, I had honestly forgot why they where there in the first place lol. The stress relieving mini-games helped so much with anxiety levels; I think the Hermits also got that too, since most players caught on how everything works pretty quick, and gained more confidence than when Tango first introduced Decked Out in Season 7.

reskinned pumpkins on armour stands for the dungeon door, player heads on armour stands using a data pack for the entrancè
@jasonreed7522
@jasonreed7522 7 ай бұрын
The first door uses the armor stand datapack's redstone functionality to change the positions of armor stands. These are holding reskinned blocks that hide the actual blocks being moved by pistons, its an amazing illusion. The second door into the dungeon itself uses reskinned pumpkins on armor stands, the sliding is from the same trick Etho used in ShadE-E's with water streams above the stands to slowly and consistently move them. (You can technically just walk through this door even while closed, its basically just a hologram) Mix in sound design from this season's music disc customization data pack and the illusions are complete. And thats just the doors, Tango is a madman this season.

Man I've spent a year on a project and I've had to walk away a few times because I simply lost motivation due to it's size. Tango be doing this for almost 2 years now without breaks like a champ and I don't know how he did it. Especially with so many frustrations in getting various Redstone systems to work for exactly what he was envisioning. It was so bloody complicated. All my thing is just a giant build. Much easier to do than everything tango had to do ON TOP of making it look amazing. I genuinely don't know how he never loss motivation.

@lacavernedug33k40 as Dragonag so graciously put, yes, it is intentional, if you rewatch some scenes in the room they made to wait in, they build a rather large sign out of diorite with the letters spelling out "The Q" which I thought was incredibly clever and cute.
