Hermitcraft Season 8 starting in Minecraft 1.17, the Caves and Cliffs Update has arrived.
The Goat cannot be stopped, even by increasing gravitational anomalies all around the Hermitcraft Server. Doc tackles his biggest project yet this season. A gigantic mech mantis. The world is literally falling apart. Can the Altar of the Order of Octa somehow stop the Moon from destroying Hermitcraft? Doc was able to build the Altar but it's functionality remains a mystery.

Cataclysms like those combined may cause in softening bedrock to the hardness of blackstone and open up large underground caves. Some call them lush caves. Also due to the shift in gravitational fields, it might get easier to stack blocks higher then 256 in a row.

Ancient civilizations usually fall to multiple disasters hitting at once rather than just one big one. A combination of a couple disasters could do the trick. For example, an economic collapse causing currency to stop being used at the same time as a large celestial rock crashing into the civilization’s lands. The people living there would be toast.
