Hey, this week I made a piston door, with no prior knowledge of piston doors, other than casually watching Hermitcraft videos. It works, and it's amazing pressing that button and seeing the blocks disappear! (the entrance is a trapdoor type, with a disappearing block underneath your feet, but the exit is a 1x2 door to a water elevator) I'm learning! We are all learning!

I can imagine that this coordinate system might be useful to recreate the board game Battleship in Minecraft. Maybe pair it up with Armor Stands to use as the ships. Someone who knows his Redstone could definetly polish this idea. There might be much more easy ways to build it but this would be much cooler and definetly much more fun.

I approve this message! ☝️ 🚢☄ An arena for playing battleship would be cool. But that would require a lot of effort if you change the shape of the target area. Also, you need 2 target areas and 2 2-axis cannon system, so it would be advisable to be a build done by more then one person, since the grind is brutal.

Arrow cannon is warden infested. Although, if you were to travel there through the overworld and wait a while, wouldn't it despawn? I think the wardens were all unnamed because naming them would take them out of the mobcap, so if the chunks load and there are no noises there to keep it's attention, it should dig back into the ground, right?

My only worry is launching double anvils and having the second anvil destroy their dropped cards when they die since we know anvils crush dropped items. Especially if they're rare cards I could see some hermits being upset.

Always, always love watching Doc, and this canon is absolutely phenomenal! The targeting, coordinate system makes it feel so fancy too, like battleships or something. I'd love to see someone get squashed during a match with no clue about the canon, probably have to do it when it's not their turn so you can be relatively sure that they'll be standing still for 6-7 seconds.

The Composter card debate is very interesting. Coming from playing Magic the Gathering, they generally say that if you can't do everything the card says to just do as much as possible. But the cards are also worded very intentionally. There are cards that say "As an additional cost discard a card. Draw 2 cards." And that would be different from "Discard your hand. Draw 2 cards.". In the latter if you don't have cards to discard to just ignore it and draw 2 cards. The big difference I see is that in HC:TCG there's no real cost to playing cards, like mana or energy or something. So the ruling could really go either way and still make sense.

The cannon is quite awesome. My first idea when I heard of it was to add a deathmatch option to the arena. Automatically covering the loosing side with anvils after a match. That way the anvil cannon could still remain relevant once everyone knows about it.

I honestly don't know how any other seosen could ever top this! Decked out 2, Beefs TCG card game, Scars passion project, Docs Insane Base and just mad and impossible redstone machines, a crosover between two SMPs, dragons in the overworld, Wardens used as portable Mob-switches, and so much more going on its insane. And judging by the progress everyone has done this far this season is not even over yet! This is the best season already! And then there are so much more things that a forgot luke Bdubs revolutionary build style, Pearls beautiful alien base, Ethos base with the super speed ways, the whole King Ren shenanigans and also Rens Gigaverse stuff and so on... I just LOVE Hermitcraft!!!

The grid with rockets looks so logical and "easy to understand" but as Cub said - the decoding of the information, dishing out the right amount of TNT... I can't even begin to fathom how this whole thing was designed. Magnificent. For the TCG areana i think two chains attached to both horns of the skull would look amazing!!

Instead of holding the skull platform up, you could hold it down with some chains to the side and down. Like it’s trying to float up, and they are keeping it from escaping. Great episode, looking forward to much more!

this blew my mind! Amazing episode doc as always and make sure to take small breaks, careful not to burn out. I'd watch you build your base for an hour or maybe explore a bit and check other hermit builds, i don't mind at all. I've learned a lot from your channel and I'm always looking forward to learn more and more. I would also love to wish the best for you and your family !

I love that Doc is in Hermitcraft, together with all the arquitects, then comes the engineer with complex redstone and geometric builds

Man, loved this so much! First friday in a long while that I can actually watch an episode on time, because my classes usually go till 6 o'clock and I'm beat by the time I get home. What a treat as always to see the absolute technical beast that you and the Hivemind put together.
