The hermits loved coming together to cover up the perimeter, could you ask them to come back to help you finish it? You can have murals or houses or whatever loaded up in schematica, give everyone something to do together before the end? I love what you've been doing this season, it's really amazing.

​@@Rentta I feel the most sad for Scar. You could tell how much Scarland means to him and even if it was somehow "finished", the end of the season means that none of the other hermits will ever get to experience Scarland as it was meant to be: an actual theme park.

@@DrKvo I think the best solution could be to use it as a template for future charitiy events. They build attractions and games for that anyway so it would be the perfect way to grow Scarland while preserving what its meant to be: a place that is actually enjoyed by people. Instead of building these games in a random far away empty spot on the server they could just paste scarland in every season and build them there!

The unfinished wall could always be a part of the lore. The older part of the civilization's structure completely collapsed and they're in the process of rebuilding it. Or, there's some cultural reason why they didn't build on that side (perhaps they wished to preserve the land, and shape of the terrain, or as a reminder of what their ancestors achieved).

As an archaeologist who works at Pompeii, I 100% love this idea! Parts of Pompeii were still being repaired from the 62 CE earthquake when the city was buried in 79 CE, so we get things like partially painted walls. The lore of a civilization disappearing mid-project is a cool way to incorporate the end of the season.

When the end of the season was officially announced, it was Doc that I immediately worried for. But hearing Doc saying that he has no regret is extremely relieving. What an absolute monster of a season, Doc. I cannot wait for the insanities on the next one!

The unfinished wall decor can be considered as the final lore piece of this place. This may sound a bit grim but the 'the original restorer eventually disappeared from this once forgotten land, to be found by another pathfinder who sets the final story set in stone'

A little disappointed that they’re closing shop before doc gets to finish. Doc put so much effort in this season and it would be awesome if everyone joined in and helped doc tidy up the perimeter before they end the season. Slightly feels like decked out was a hermit burnout. Like 8 weeks in a row of was almost exclusively decked out which tired out both the watchers as well as the hermits because there was less happening besides decked out. Perhaps next time they should increase the phase lengths so that hermits have time in videos to dedicate to other projects besides decked out.

Yeah I feel most sad for Scar and Doc at the end of this season. Both of them tackled INSANE megabase projects that they put their heart and soul into creating. Seeing the season end off when there was so little left to complete makes me sad. I was looking forward to the completion of these projects for a long time now. (I know doc said it'd take him another year to get it where he wants it, but i feel like he could've made it look done from an outside POV in less than half that time. Same for Scar.)

Those phases going by so fast, limited availability to get a run in, if you miss a phase you're basically unable to win (hence Etho winning since he had winning in mind since the start and exploited various loopholes lmao) all kinda forced hermits to run DO2 instead of doing their own projects. It definitely should have been similar to how TCG was slow and easy going and happened when it happened

Zedaph was hiding in the wall. It's the holes in the oppisite wall at 17:35 Normally used for his farms to dispense drops down into his storage. Also thanks Doc for an amazing season. every weekend i have been looking forward to a good hour of grind on the perimeter, or hermit hijinks, wichever happened first. enjoy a good christmas vacation, and have fun with the family.

Hey Doc, last season Xisumavoid had the idea of importing a 3D game model into the game, & it was a huge model of him holding a sword & shield, it was going to be from bedrock to build limit, & it would have been a season long build mattering on the level of detail he put into it. Now all I can picture is the goat god on a flattened leveled area of the world (so it isn't standing in a hole at bedrock) & you utilizing your gifted fan base to create this 3D God/Monster Goat that would be seen for miles. Just my two cents for next season, if you have no idea what I am talking about involving adding a 3D model as a build template into the game I believe it uses the addon Hermitcraft members have that lets them build perfect spheres, but if this sounds like something you'd want to tackle I'd suggest speaking with Xisumavoid about what would be involved but from what I creall once you had your 3D model it was simply a few clicks of the mouse and you would see it in games.

What really got me into hermitcraft was these mind-blowing redstone builds from mumbo and tango and I really don't know why I didn't watch your channel sooner. But I find my unfinished sketches, with all their preliminary lines and empty spaces are what make them perfect! I send this message to all Hermits whose finales I will be watching. And I fully accept that my words may be unseen or in the minority. Speaking as someone who started watching Hermitcraft 5 years ago, not long after Season 6 began, I had no idea what i was in for. And I can happily say that watching comtent creators like you has bought me much-needed entertainment. Seasons 6 and 7 are forever my favorites (so far). Decked Out 2 was easily the most anticipated thing I was looking forward to in Season 9, and it did not disappoint. But, that was really the only thing I was looking forward to. Season 9, though I'm glad it happened, and could easily pick and choose highlights...lost its magic on me somewhere along the way. A lot of Hermits are different now than they were 5 years ago, and I have a very clear idea as to which ones I like watching and which ones I don't. I respectfully will not name anyone, but this season definently solidified at least 1 Hermit as my least favorite. I don't think the custom textures or resources are the problem. If anything, I welcomed them. But maybe it was much of the storylines. Maybe it was the Empires Crossover. Whatever it was, I won't completely write off Season 9. And I very much look forward to what comes in Season 10 from my favorite content creators.

I'm really looking forwards to see another assortment of crazy contraptions. This season truly was a Goat-season with all the crazy things you build to mess with other hermits. Nothing beats shattering all mortal limits to deliver hell on earth to your enemies (friends).

This season with the perimeter, the evolution and inclusion of the community in the art and lore, the balance of life and minecraft, EVERYTHING has been an impressive and inspiring journey to go on with our GOAT !

I really like the look of the alcoves around the elevator. It has me imagining a whole community or shopping area built on the idea of a square "o" shaped trench to bedrock with the width of trench itself (outer diameter minus inner diameter) around 3-4 chunks wide and the length of each edge being maybe 12-15 chunks long so that there would be a lot of wall space to burrow in homes and shops and stuff.

Wow Doc, this may be the best season I’ve seen so far from your works. More game breaking stuff, serious dedication to the grind but in an artful way- moving back and forth from the GOAT thrive and together. There are a few hermits that bring me tears of happiness when the music rolls in or out, you are definitely one of them. Cheers! When I heard the message on Ren's stream I instantly though of you. And Scar. I was very worried since you aren't finished yet. And I want to make clear that this is not because I as a viewer will get no Hermitcraft videos for some time, it was purely because I wanted you guys to have fun and to be able to be satisfied with your work. I think many viewers can agree when I say how much Hermitcraft means to us and how much we get invested in you. But in the end, this is not the end of the world and I am already excited about what awesome things the new season will bring. This can just be another chance to create things you didn't have time for in this season (like the "idea for the coolest minigame ever" that you mentioned and never brought up again lol).

I think that the perimeter wall is the crowning achievement of this season. It perfectly captures the spirit & history of your channel. Goat mutters, tomatoes, butterfly wings, transformation, organic symbiosis, positive collaboration. Although an automated 'printed' perimeter wall may have been quicker, this wall inspired the world.

I think it would be funny if the Season ended canonically because everyone came together to try finish all the unfinished projects, like the Perimeter murals, and then they all die due to being overworked.

That elevator is one of the most impressive Minecraft feats I've ever seen. The Liquid Cobblestone Display is absolutely just the cherry on top, it's incredible.

Don't know about others but I had this feeling from all the hermits their video's that the season was coming to an end. The end of a season is always bittersweet for us viewers, wanting more from every season but also anticipating what the new season will bring. In any way Doc, you nailed it this season! This season was so much fun! I felt so inspired every time you released a new episode, I used the tricks (and maybe a few of the glitches) to make cool stuff in my own worlds. It is always bittersweet to leave a world behind, but you can definitely be proud of what was done here! Excited for what the future will bring, and new worlds for the Goat to eat

I mean another possibility is that a fragment of the perimeter that as "unfinished" could be found randomly dropped into Season 10, like someone was trying to take it or preserve it, but failed or stopped for some unknown reason.. and then Lorewise it's not "unfinished" at all. It's also kind of cool to think of one of your starter bases that you're working out of was just this chunk of your Perimeter (by Chunk I mean whatever piece you decide to build). There are a ton of ways to play with the idea, maybe there is a trail thru the Nether of pieces of the perimeter, as if the stolen chunk was transported thru the Nether. Or maybe the entire chunk is in the Nether, never having made it all the way to it's destination. Or maybe in The End? So many cool things to bring a piece of home with you, that's what's great about you and your community, all the creativity, the fun, it's home.

Even unfinished, the perimeter is absolutely epic! In fact, unfinished seems in-line with the developing lore. The thought that Doc has ideas to top this monument to GOAT is unreal, but hype for S10!
