For the arena, you could choose another form of deception instead of hiding the trigger. Just link a target block to some pretty fireworks, tell Scar the battle begins when the fireworks go off. Then time the arrow to hit just after. Less chance he walks out of range.

Have Scar trigger it. Set up a button for him to push when he's ready.. that turns on a slightly delayed "go" light only a second or less before the arrow materializes. It also helps ensure that he stays in place.. because Scar never stays in place or follows rules super well. Lol

the wither(300 hp JE) has less health than a warden(500 hp) but more than the dragon (200 hp). a brute has 50 health (highest health mob that can wear armor) and if given max projectile protection and netherite can block 80% of the damage meaning it would need to do at least 250 damage to one hit so over all a warden is the hardest thing to one shot.( these stats can change in bedrock) still would be cool to see how he would hit a dragon or wither with his death canon

a player using a turtle master potion receives 60% less damage, a enchanted golden apple gives a player an extra 16 hp. Together with projectile protection and netherite this means (0.4 * 0.2) only 8% of the damage gets through. (not sure if turtle master and protection stack like this) This means a player with (20 + 16 =) 36 hp can take a total of (36/0.08 =) 450 hp of damage!

There's a few more details. The dragon only takes full damage if you hit the head, which isn't easy with an arrow cannon. Otherwise it takes only a quarter of the damage and has effectively 800 health. Armor is kinda weird. Full armor can give up to 80% damager reduction, but it is less effective the higher the damage. That's the point of the "toughness" stat on diamond and netherite armor. It shields you a bit better from stronger attacks. But i'm pretty sure armor, protection and the resistance buff (from turtle master) all stack, so you can get pretty damn bulky. edit: Diamond ends up being 16% damage reduction on attacks stronger than 64 damage. Netherite reaches that same threshold at 80 damage attacks. Stacking all defenses then ends up at 0.84*0.2*0.4 = 0.0672 or 93.28% reduction against very strong attacks.

it was by watching Etho that got me hooked on doc...though I had been hooked on hermitcraft because of Rendog....been a fan of his since early mole hole ren....got hooked on etho after ren mentioned him then got hooked on doc with his adventures with etho.....love all their different styles of video making

I've been watching Etho since I started playing Minecraft, he's always been entertaining with his calm approach, real inventiveness and lack of egotism. It's so great to see him back on Hermitcraft after what has been a really hard time for him. How do you plan to keep scar aligned with the arrow? You could place target blocks on either end for you all to stand on and then hook up YOUR target block to the firing mechanism. Great work! Great episode! Stay safe and healthy!

If you're covering the arena with buttons, and get lucky with bedrock placement, you don't even have to hide the trigger behind you, just put it underneath. Also, as a dare/punishment for a high amount of money, you have to expressly and wholeheartedly thank one of the shaningans people for livening up your perimeter, helping dig it out, and bringing entertainment into your base

For hiding the trigger, what about peppering the floor with Redstone ore for "decorative purposes"? Once Scar walks on the correct triggering block, you can have an observer trigger the release of an arrow. Maybe put up some cover blocks so he'd naturally gravitate to the right area and stay in one spot long enough.

On-"brand" hype building challenges-- *Have some of your fellow Hermits prepare secret challenges/dares and if the milestone is reached, you have to go ask for one *The German tourist bit was def super fun and people love hearing native language from multi-lingual people; could set a trigger word or number that when you hear it or get that score or whatever, you're stuck speaking German for a minute. Alternately, you and a teammate switch their on-screen language to German and try to communicate through a game in as much German as possible. *Walk us through your favorite tomato recipe. Bonus if you can prepare and/or taste on camera. *Does lil Doccy have a xylophone toy or similar? Play chat a song. *Go get a prompt from Grumbot and try to complete it before stream ends. *Sing along/recite either the anthem OR Scarland's opening/closing announcements (or the Civil War team song from s6-could rope impulse etc in on that one!) *Race Etho or another redstoner to build randomized redstone components, or have chat choose (polls?) a quick machine for you to assemble as quickly as possible from memory *Invite a dev or Scicrafter to participate in the event and team with you *Wrangle some ghasts for an arial assault battle with Scar *Get iJevin to ask you trivia questions

Oh, Doc, the frustration and upset in your voice at the loss of your farms and machines was palpable. I’m so happy that you were able to figure it out in time and troubleshoot all the kinks. Well done, it’s incredible. I do wish you would spawn proof the arena. Those slimes are going to make it less epic imo. Just button up the whole floor with a mix of woods and then make a pattern with a couple of specific buttons to guide you as one button near you can be used to set off your death ray. It’d be much better than you going off to press something in the bushes. Scar won’t even know that you did anything because you won’t have to move. :)
