Tbh I was expecting the Toltecayotl instead of a post continental/western philosophy ala Mexicana but still interesting. Definitely bring on someone to speak about ancient native philosophies of the Americas as a whole. 🖖

Looking forward to this! I dove in deep after the Maffie interview and got my hands on everything I could written by Miguel León-Portilla, Alfredo López Austin, David Carrasco & others, eventually leading to this fellow here. Alot of respect for Prof. Sanchez. Would love to leave an essay of a comment but will have to wait. Keep up the great work James!

tribes know we only exist together. only in a demented stage of extreme expansion and and a temporarily flourishing materialism can one think that 'oh, i'm an individual and all that matters is me"

ubermensch in finding his/her own freedom is finding everyone else's as well. back to the old paradox that to be most free is to be most communal. that when everyone is allowed to grow and pursue one's own ends, that fosters collectivity as well. only when we mutually ensure the respect for our own personal places and values are we most free
