Thank you, I'm glad to read that! 😀 I selected, worked on, practiced and videoed the song the same day I found out about David Crosby's death early in the morning. Hey, thanks for the nice compliment! :) Since I can't read or even write sheet music myself, I'll try to tell you at least the chords: My guitar is in a normal E-A-D-G-H-E tuning and I start the song with an open G major (bass G / melody d), then a normal C major (bass C / melody e), then F major with my thumb on the bass F (melody notes g on f), then again C major with bass note C (melody notes e > d > c). Then the same again, but with a B as the first bass note of the G major chord and the last two notes of the melody omitted. That's all for the verse. Then the refrain: Normal C major with an empty E string as bass and melody tone c, then G major barré in the 3rd fret with bass tone D and melody tone d, then normal C major with bass tone C and melody tone e, then normal Am7 with bass tone A and melody tone c. Then the first three of these refrain chords are repeated and then the first 4 of the refrain chords again... and then straight away to normal G major with bass note G and melody note d to F major barré with melody note c. And the bridge: C major with e-bass and melody note e, B-flat major with an empty D-string as bass (1st string/1st fret, 2nd+3rd string/3rd fret), back to C major with E- Bass and melody tone e, B flat major with F-bass and melody tone d. This is all repeated a few times, ending on F major barré with thumb on bass note F and pinky on melody note G. In the intermediate part of the song, I only add two small melody parts to my percussion loop and then play the verse over it again. So the whole thing sounds even rounder and fatter and comes a little closer to the original sound that I have in my head. And of course I also use a fairly large reverb effect on the guitar as well as for the vocals and an octave effect for the bass tones so that they sound even more full. And another tip: the original is 4 notes higher than my version, because unfortunately I can't sing as high as David Crosby! ;) But you can play it very well in the original key with my chords with a capo in the 4th fret! So, hopefully I can help you with that!? Hey... I'm very happy that you like my version! 😀 I had never played the song before, although I've known and loved it since 1993. And then the news of David's death inspired me to choose the song, think of and study my version of it, and record it all that same day as my weekly KZbin video. 😅 It was pretty tight in terms of time, but I made it and I'm proud of it. @@AndreasGeffarth, that's really nice to hear. This song is special to me also because it was 1993, a year I moved to another country as a student. The song helped me through that transitional period. I have it on the original CD single I paid $10 for back then. Still in mint condition!

Hey, thanks for the compliment! 😎 I didn't play the song in the original key, but rather a little lower. In the original key by David Crosby and Phil Collins, the song doesn't suit me so well, because I can't sing that high. But I don't play according to notes. And so at the moment I can't tell you the original key or the key in which I played it. 😅
