@@asitkumarsadhukhan917 yes you need license and registration. This model can do more than 25 kmph and has improved power (>250 W). I think the govt needs to make 350 W 30 to 35 kmph as street legal without licence and registration since this category would encourage riding an EV even more. And we also need some standard regulations regarding the manufacture of EVs in india similar to what we have for e rickshaws..

PlugInIndia Don't make us fool you all are trying to sell rejected models from Foreign markets , 40 kmph is poor speed nobody would buy such scrap. Speed should be 80-90 kmph and full charging range should be 200km at least.

@@swapchal bro for this to happen let someone who can re invent high energy dense battery technology at a cheaper cost be born. PluginIndia is NOT here to make fool of us. And this scooter is an entry level high speed model. The photon comes with 72 V system, speed upto 55 kmph which is very bad at a price near to 90k. But this model competes with a Bajaj platina with LED DRL that is priced around 48k ex showroom in Mumbai, this one takes 46500 on road with subsidy: hence this model sells more merely bcoz 1. Range extension possible at the cost of speed 2. Best entry level scooter weighing below 100 kg (72.5 kg) 3. Can run on gradients upto 7 degree.

Since 10 years , Hero electric is making electric scooter but till date they don't understand that Hub motors are not suitable for Indian Roads. Battery cabinet is locked from above but ooen from below which can be an huge problem regards Rain and dust. 40km top speed is okay but can be extended to 55kmph. Hope Hero incorporate this suggestion.

AXL HE20 (pending and upcoming in 2020) will come with 3kW/4kW mid ride motor and will have a max speed of 85 kmph (which only Grazia can touch) and will b priced at 1.1 Lakhs. It will have fast charging also and will you li ion battery.

They are focussing on 40 kmph models now. Photon, Optima, Flash and NYX E5 models 25 kmph is only available as old stock.

motor thoda aur powerful hota to maza aa jata... But 48v 28 Ah ki Li-ion battery,3 years ki warrenty ke saath 54K price... Itna cheap.. this is incredible...Range thoda kum ho to theek hae.. but agar zayada speed chaheye to we cant do anything.. but range zayada chaheye to we can reduce the speed and make it run few more kilometers with the same motor, as it is electric. Power (watt) directly proportional to current and current is directly proportional to capacity of the battery.
