bought this one last week but ended up returning it, it has a nice sweet dry down but the opening note was just too spicy / overwhelming

Can’t get past the opening that smells like dill to me for whatever reason

Yep, my first time I used it I also noticed a slight dill pickle sent but that disappeared very quickly during the drydown. Tried it again this morning and did not notice it at all for some damn reason... Great smelling fragrence though.
