The interviewer is Anthony Swofford who wrote a book called Jarhead. Its a great book if anyone has a chance to read it. Regarding the awkwardness of the interviewer, I would actually blame the production of the interview for the awkwardness more than Swofford or Driver. Seems like it was cut short. Swofford, although seemingly introverted, probably had more to talk to Driver about off camera since they are both former Marines.
