A little bit of distortion on the bass and a bridge pickup super close to the bridge gives it a similar feel to a guitar but also covers the low end. At least that's been my interpretation so far.

@@Meemorp_ he also really lets the notes on the bass ring out and the drummer is playing really busy. Which is good for this, drummer needs to fill the space as well. Every band with just Drum and Guitar/bass has a really intense drummer.
