Hello everyone! Today I will test Iris one on one with many tanks and tankish heros like Andvari, Arachne and Alvanor.

I think early Iris testing is interesting but 1 vs 1 isn't very interesting. Tanks are garbage 1 vs 1 just generally. Better to test her in various teams. Haven't summoned her yet but some in my guild have and we've done a little bit of early testing. She seems quite good but this whole "renders tanks useless" I've heard people speculate doesn't seem to hold water.

It is a pleasure for me to be in such a awsome guild ! I am following on discord and will try to be more active there. To this moment I could not raise the level of my Iris enough to test her in real situation like arena or grand areana but I think she will be very useful in many teams and to counter some specific ones. Hey, corvus would have won that battle. I did this test and he won. Iris is good with him but not so good as other tanks like astaroth and aurora because corvus totem returns all damage he takes. Hello. Thanks for your comment. Iris was avaiable at a Chrismas Event. Now the only way to get her is in the heroic chest or wait until she becomes avaiable at normal 50 or 100 souls chest of heros.

Hey. Sure, I did not put those but the results are very predictible. Isaac is a very hard counter of her since he or she (i dont know) will silence her so Iris will not be able to invoke her special. Iris isn't good with Rufus thanks to Rufus' Violet ability, "Rakashi's Oath." If you have forgotten, this ability makes it so that Rufus cannot be killed by anything other than "physical damage," and instead, will be resurrected with partial health if killed by magic or pure damage. Most of Iris's attacks inflict physical damage, but her Grey ability: "Soul Exposure," makes it so that all attacks done to Rufus' soul, regardless of damage type, are transferred to Rufus as pure damage. What's more, Rufus' soul is summoned in front of him, so almost all of Iris's attacks will inflict pure damage the moment she uses her Soul Exposure. As a result, the pure damage from these attacks kills Rufus, thereby activating Rakashi's Oath which in turn resurrects him. Thus, Iris ends up caught in an unfortunate resurrection loop when she fights one-on-one against Rufus. The only way for her to break this loop is to either wait for the soul to disappear (by waiting for the 13 second duration to end or eliminate all of the soul's health), or strike Rufus without hitting the soul. However, both options are difficult for her to do on her own, and so, she is destined to lose. I'll prove it. The first option is actually impossible because Iris's energy charges up too quickly; she casts Soul Exposure too frequently, making it impossible to strike Rufus from the front. The second option, the only ability she has that will let her hit Rufus without hitting his soul is her Green ability: Otherworldly Encounter. However, it's effectiveness (and damage) is heavily minimized in one-on-one battles compared to group battles. In the video, it shows that it lands somewhere between 2,000 and 11,000 damage. Iris would have to bring Rufus's health down to within that range, then use Otherworldly Encounter at that specific moment, and hope it is enough to win. I don't know the odds of that happening, but based on the video, I'd say between slim and none.

@@Animaster81 thank you for the information. I'm glad to see Rufus get some positive attention. I love him as a tank. It's unfortunate that he doesn't get much use. it's cool that she unintentionally protects him.
