Great pulls and a great game. Pulling an unrevealed Chase is excellent incentive for Wizkids to continue to send you bricks of future sets. Lol. I agree this set is going to be a little more difficult in sealed games because of all the equipment and one-shots. You both managed it well. I like Namor. The chase Scarlet Witch is very nasty on the second set of clix. Congratulations Jocelyn on winning game 1. Nice start to the series. Looking forward to seeing what else you pull. So you can use powers on another character while adjacent to opponents, and in the middle of that other character's action? (Probability Control)

Yes, Probability Control is a ‘passive ability’ that can react to opponents dice rolls as well as your own. Take a look at the PAC, if an ability doesn’t list a costed action like MOVE, POWER, or something non-costed like FREE, It’s likely it’s a passive ability.

Yes, Defend applies to friendly characters. It is also passive, so effectively that means it's 'always on'.

Don't the terrain markers count for the Collector's trait? i.e. The water markers. So exciting seeing all those new characters in action.

For Collector 001? Nonstandard terrain markers count, his Trait reads "...for each type of non-character game element on an opponent's force and Sideline other than standard terrain markers (Equipment, Mystery Cards, nonstandard terrain markers, One-Shots, and Tarot Cards are examples of qualifying game elements.)." So, standard water markers would not count.

I'm learning more every day, and more of it sinks in every day, but I'm still confused on some things. Pulse Wave says it's a range attack, but it also says other characters within range 4 can't use powers or abilities for that attack. Does this apply whether or not the range attack actually hits? The 75 point Harley Quinn that comes in the DC 2024 Starter Set has a ranged poison attack. I can't even begin to fathom how it works, because poison is inherently an AoE power dependent upon adjacency. Does empower also apply to the character with Empower, or strictly adjacent friendly characters? Same question re: Leadership.

For Pulse Wave, the PAC reads "Other characters within range can't use powers or abilities (for this action)." The next line begins with "Make a range attack...", so it neutralizes everyone's powers and abilities before the attack happens. For Harley's Traited Poison ability, it reads "Poison. When Harley Quinn uses it, characters she hit this turn are considered adjacent to her.". She would have to hit with an attack first, then she could use Poison, but all the normal conditions of Poison would have to be met which is "If this character hasn't moved or been placed this turn, deal 1 damage to all adjacent opposing characters.". Where I could see this being useful is if she used Energy Explosion and hit multiple targets, then she could poison every target she hit. Empower is only to adjacent friendly characters, same with Leadership, however Leadership requires a shared keyword or less point value to work.
