thats your reality because 1 you need to move with infantry so that you are not a mining target , 2 you dont stick out on a broken bridge so that you get pushed 3 stay inside forrest where planes spot you harder and even if they do spot you it is harder for them to hit you because of trees and even if they do hit you once they might loose you as they turn to bomb you again . and all these can help you but there is always just bad luck where you will die anyway

I remember one time, my Hetzer got blown up by a tank hunter. So we proceeded to duel each other with wrenches after I escaped. I whacked him in the head. Another time when I was playing infantry, I had no ammo, so I picked up a panzerfaust and drilled it into a guys head.

History of the Moon-landing needs to be rewritten. Neil Armstrong may had made it to the moon too but the first was a Heavy Tanker shot right out of the orbit. A small mine for a big tank and a long distance flight for the crew. 🙃

All the things that happen to you can be avoided 1 stay close to infantry so that you make it hard for people to mine you 2 hide in forest so that you make it hard for planes to see you and even if they do see you and hit you they might loose you in the next pass 3 i dont know dont stick out on broken bridges where trucks can push you off , actually trucks never pushed me an inch when they hit me neither have i pushed tanks with them so im not sure how this is a thing. there are bugs and they need to be fixed but all games do have them so i dont see the problem , my problem is that mg 42s can hit you at 200 meters with ease they are accurate like a laser beam while in reality they were innacurate as fuck and were never used for sniping nor to pick off targets they were used for suppresive fire another problem is that soviet top tier light tank has to hit 4 timea to kill while germans can kill you with 2 or even 1 volley when shot from behind and americans can 2 hit kill you with chaffeee also that soviet ppd and ppsh dont have they real life rate of fire ppd has 800-1000 while in game it has 430 ppsh has 1000 in game it has 600 you can bring up ppd to 600 and ppsh to 900 and both are innacurate as fuck while they grouped shots better then the mg 42

The main objective of the heavy tank is not to capture objectives but to kill targets at long range, not camp at one spot but use mobility to get to new firing positions. Rough ground should ALWAYS be avoided whenever possible. If infantry threaten the tank then it's either fight or flight. Exp is granted to people who do protect the tanks but if the enemy manages to put magnetic mines on your tank, you suck. Because you do not use your mobility to your advantage. Stickies and AT grenades are a different story since they do have range and can be thrown quite some distance. Situational awareness is always a useful skill. Never trust footsteps going towards you. If you hear a weapon not belonging to your faction, don't stick your head out like an idiot. Never trust the front lines, keep your head in the turret, the enemy is everywhere. When moving to avoid enemy fire, keep the turret pointed at 12 o'clock relative to the hull in order to see where you are going. Practice trigger discipline, don't fire at targets you cannot hit, penetrate or kill. Never trust open ground, the enemy is in the bushes. Never cross areas where there are rocks, the enemy may have a soldier with AT weapons waiting for you there. Never get into a situation that offers cover for enemy infantry (i.e. alleyways, buildings with multiple floors, objective zones). Get off the bridge, don't block traffic. Never get onto the bridge unless you're crossing to the other side. Stay mobile, don't let enemy infantry work their way to you. Never fire HE shells into the objective, especially when your team is capturing or defending it successfully. Make sure you know possible routes of enemy infantry if and when they attack your vehicle. Avoid firing quickly and constantly, tracers work both ways.

would like to add the first and foremost task of the heavy tank is destroying other tanks. Like you said long range since it does not have the speed to fight infantry. Only really the light tanks have the speed to efficient engage infantry in close range.

I was playing german fighter pilot once with my Hs-129 and a pair of guys in hellcats decided they should be anti-air instead of anti-tank. they kept shooting at me and shot me down several times. they were totally useless for their team as tank destroyers though because they were sitting on hills several kilometers away from, and with now clear line of sight on any bases that were being fought over. it was pretty annoying being shot down by TDs though

Ahaha XD , I Agree , right now the heavy tanks is not worth playing (*imo*). They're too slow and expensive and take the same amount of AT grenades to kill. Play light tank is cheaper , faster speed, faster reload (HE spam) cost effective .

I have panther and ptrd and it's great to snipe but way more fun to hunt tanks knowing how much you ruin their game. Ultimate goal make them leave the battle. Tank hunting as infantry is great but doing it in bf 109 is the best.

Since the new Vehicle-Update in November 2018, it is different. But there a lot´s of "Infantry" Men, that cry about the good old times. Because Tanks where a Joke in this Game, they state that Tanks HAVE to be that weak :D And also: Sadly big parts of H&G Community have become absolutetly rotten.... This Game still has Potential... but a very questionable "community" at the Moment.
