The hero's army is too strong to defeat him with no losses. The breaking point of the battle is Sharpshooter's Bow, Air Shield, Blind, and Resurrection spells, and double mana amount for my hero.

Why did a Tower wizard on like level 50 only has level 1-3 spells? Honestly this was a weird fight. You were playing with a barbarian and the magic difference between you guys was absolutely massive. You could've easily won this by spamming elementals, implosions and other more direct spells.

I really don't play Heroes now, but not for long! I used sarcifice because I didn't need Fortress creatures in further game, they were just as shield and protection for my Cyclopes and Ancient Behemots to save. Though, I doubt that I had enough mana to resurrect all of them. Sacrifice rises troops more effective than Resurrection.

U did great use of blind at the start, but blocking ur troops especially the behemoth loses u more for potential attack of enemy flyer. AI goes always for low tier creatures. And you have clone spell, behemoth should be in waiting mode then cast clone in reverse attack order. That clone creature help eliminate enemy flyer at the same time, waste range attack for real creature.

i think i 1st played HOMM3 in 1999? unbelievable after 2 decades the game still has fans and players! just shows how humble graphics but *great* gameplay endures the test of time. These days u have FPS games with so much eye candy but not even a fraction the gameplay oldie games like HOMM3 brings to the table....

Больно смотреть, как расставил (подставил под удар по сути) войска, как берсерк не колдовал и замедление и много других ошибок. С такими статами и заклинаниями можно было и лучше сыграть.

Waiting doesn't mean that the unit skips the turn (that only happens when you defend, where the unit does not move/attack until the next turn). The unit just does its move later on in the same turn. That way you can do the attack on a better timing.

Agains the machine it is more easy, because the cpu loss the shot with the titan to kill the serpent fly, in case human against human it is more interessant. he can wait, and other creature can kill the small number of serpent fly and than the titan can shoot in the same turn

I was about to say something similar, I would use those nagas to destroy behelmonths without retailation and blocking cyclops but, and many spells were a waste, IA rarely spam resurrection as human players.

Weird, why very few (or even none) people seem to grasp this very basic idea. There are these "special" custom maps that are made with a story, and meant to play against the machine only. The enemy's armies are huge (because of the story and the long time to reach them and whatnot ...), and you just have to accept that the machine is stupid, to some level. What you are otherwise always referring / comparing to, are those other custom / random maps that you play against other people. These will be more like playing chess and no-one will complain whatsoever about the tactics that you may use. Simple ? (I'm even amazed at how hard it is for some people to understand this, if you have even played Heroes 3 at all)

I am stuck at the same point of the map where I have to fight Neela. The AI places the Titans in 2 stacks of 100 so that i cannot fully block them with fodders, nastyly casts Air Shield so I can't use the full potential of my Cyclop and does constantly blind my Behemoths and uses his genies to cast spells rather than fight with them. I am still trying to beat him

Ice Frog В теории да, так как например от Альянса Ангелов или Меча Армагеддона бонусы к первичным навыкам от каждого составляющего артефакта остаются. Это можно легко проверить, создав специальный полигон в редакторе карт.

use prayer instead of haste when you have lots of mana and both water and air expert mastery. prayer makes them faster AND has other bonuses like bless effect (maximum damage). it is probably the best spell in the game for some fights.

@@gerardperezservent9066 not only that. Expert water magic give you Mass Bless, Mass Forgetfulness, Mass Prayer, Mass Dispel and allow you clone tier 7 units(including Neutral Dragons). Water Magic is best utilised with Castle Angels for Ressurection quicker.

not sure what the small mistakes that you were talking about were (probably the excessive use of CURE early in the game... or maybe the abusive use of RESURRECTION when there were only NQs left), but anyway, once the Titans were gone the game was pretty much won IMO. You could have just hit the NQs 2-3 times with the ABs and 2-3 times with the Cyclops and they would have died, no need to resurrect dragon flies... Anyway.... interesting fight (I would have probably lost it and rage-loaded the game until I would have won xD).... Also, Naga Queens are my favorite level 6 unit of all HOMM series... stats-wise I mean, and the Dread Knight the most badass level 6 unit, design- AND stats-wise. I freakin love those 2 creatures :) EDIT: yeah, Mighty Moos and Chaos Hydras, too. I nearly forgot those 2 creatures. These are 4 of my all-time favorite HOMM creatures (along with the Dragon Golems from HOMM 4), and, as you can probably tell, Fortress is my favorite faction in all series. Too bad they didn't keep it after Heroes 3.... Also, I know that nobody gives a 5hit about what my favorite creatures and factions are, and I want to apologize to those who are bothered by my rambling, but... nostalgia kicked in and I couldn't help commenting. Sorry :(

Use Air Shield too, and spare army to sacrifice for the resurrection. Block at least part of the titans. Try to cast dispell on his air shield and look if it will help. Try different tactics on this fight. Probably the hardest fight in the whole map.

Я предпочитаю брать нападение и поиск пути. Да, AI несовершенен: использует титанов чтобы убить змей вместо того чтобы убить их големами, наводит слепоту непонятно зачем. Да и игрок тоже: я бы сначала навёл слепоту на магов, а не использовал бесполезное ускорение и скастовал благословление. Сгрудить воинов в кучу - плохое решение, т.к. они не могут атаковать. Хм, а воскрешение же воскрешает воинов только на время битвы, а не навсегда? Да и использование жертвы не нужно если есть воскрешение.

Dude, the max resolution of the game is 800x600 pixels, it cannot be stretched more, because the game came out in 1999, there was no HD then. :)) And the game was never reissued in HD format. There's an HD-mod for Heroes 3, but it only extends the world's screen, the battle screen remains the same small.

Sacrifice can be far more effective than ressurection, though not that effective the way he used it. The formula for ressurection at expert is 160+power x 50. So 210 health if power is 1, and 410 health if power is 5. If power = 1, you get exactly 3 mighty gorgons. If it's 5 you get 6 gorgons, where top stack has 60 hp. So the formula for sacrifice is (power+destroyed troop base health+10) times the number of creatures sacrificed. So if you have 1 power and ressurect mighty gorgons you get 3 of them. If you sacrifice them you get 81 x 3 health to another stack, or 243. You will have gained 33 hp, but used 2 spellcasts. Now if you would ressurect for example peasant you will get 210 of them with 1 power. If you then sacrifice them it would be 16 × 210 which makes 3360 worth hp for two spellcasts. Which means you would have gained A LOT. So in conclusion; its better to ressurect twice, than to ressurect a high tier unit and then sacrifice it to ress another unit. But it is miles more effective to ressurect a low hp unit and sacrifice it to ress another unit.

Разве? Можешь объяснить почему жертва лучше чем воскрешение? По моим подсчетам получается следующее... К примеру если у нашего героя эксп. земли и SP 30 - подняв гидр хаоса - мы подымем 1660 хп (т.е. 7 гидр). След. ходом мы кастуем жертву и при тех же условиях и эксп. огня поднимаем 2030 хп т.е. 7 др. чудищ еще за 20 маны. Итого - 2 хода - 35 маны - поднято 7 др. чудищ. А если 2 хода чисто резурект на чудищ - 30 маны, 12 др. чудищ. Так почему лучше?

В кл\онце ты начал всех воскрешать, вместо того, чтобы просто дать замедление, а потом тупо телепортировать этого циклопа раз в 3 боя, эта нага тащилась бы эти самые 3 раунда до тебя. Благословение почти в 1.5 раза усилило бы атаку циклопа, да вообще с самого начала надо было давать Медляшку и благо, а потом уже свои заклиналки 4-5-го уровня.

Твой герой изначально был чуть сильнее вражеского, зачем надо было забивать вначале все в одну кучу, у тебя была молитва эксперта, вместо ускорения подошло бы хорошо, а про стрекоз ты хорошо придумал, вообще у тебя хорошо идет магия с восстановлениями, и ослеплением, ты здорово определил вначале что главная угроза исходит от наг. Но ты мог бы за 3 раунда положить троих джинов, гаргуль и големов, если добавил в 2-х из раундов медлительность эксперта и слабость эксперта. Основная угроза не считая наги были железные големы и титан. Железные стояли далеко подошли бы позже, к тому времени ты бы справился с гаргулями и джинами. Бой напряженный получился.

Странная рисованная карта. Артефактов мало на 5 месяц, компьютер с не раскаченным героем, его войска урона мало наносят потому что атаки максимум 5. Здесь катапульту первым ударом ломать надо, а потом летающих дома всех убивать, а не прятать в угол.
