Heroes of Flying Legends. Duxford. High quality sound!

I wish you all a Happy New Year 2022 with this new video. Filmed at Flying Legends 2018 but i found the material on my harddrive this week. So it was like new for me to edit. Never published before. The sound was recorded with an binaural microphone.

With the large Spitfire formation it's interesting how you can still hear the more guttural Griffon over the top of the more prolific Merlin in the formation flying etc. Great stuff!

@@JRVAviationVideos Seems like the email thing doesn`t work 🤔. I wanted to ask if I could use a couple of secods of footage from this video for a little video documentary about the P51D Frances Dell. The original aircraft was based at Duxford in WW2, so I wanted to give the viewer a basic look of Duxford. Maybe 5 to 10 seconds of footage at max. Of couse I would give credit to you.

That was just so good, thank you for sharing it. I really miss Flying Legends and I wasn't there for 2018. I hope that one day IWM Duxford will realise that they have let their greatest asset slip through their fingers, but also that Flying Legends returns to the skies somewhere. I presume that you were using a different camera for the ground and taxiing shots and another for the aerial sequences. What cameras were these? The quality and clarity of the ground shots is superb - not that the aerial shots are not, but I can tell the cameras are different.

Thank you very much! Its actually the same camera but different picture profiles. The aerial is filmd in log ( flat profile) and grund in rec709. And also different grading. I filmed this on a Panasonic HZ1 but normally use Sony cameras😊 All the best from Sweden.

My camera is much more basic than that (a hand held FDR-AX53 camcorder) but I hope one day to progress to a more professional set up and to master the art of using a tripod.
