All of these videos are not made independent of each other, you still need to watch them all to understand how to play the game, but you can always come back to each individual video if you need a refresher.

Thanks for the series! I am awaiting this game in the next few months. Set-up looks easy with the scenario book, though time consuming. Are the components ease to find in the box and to prepare?

great set of videos. what we need now is a way to get everything back in the BIG box after punching it.. seems clunky and not intuitive. dosent seem like you guys got the all in one big box. so might be hard to do.

The video you linked is one year old and uses a prototype version. So what you see in your linked video is outdated. There is only one final version of the game.

It can be relatively quick to start if the game is set up already and someone is teaching you as you go. But yeah there's loads of components and learning absolutely everything beforehand can take a while.

Most of the players will know the rules already anyway as they played the video game 100+ hours.

It shouldn't take 45 mins to teach unless you're a slow learner. I'd estimate 15-20 mins would be enough plus a few minutes to explain the particular scenario. Some of this time can be taught as you go if you wish. I think best approach is for the first game to be co-op and teach as you go. Since you co-operate it's okey if not everyone is up to par on the rules as you start and the ones who knows the rules best will help the other(s) out.

There is ZERO chance a game this complex will play smoothly from a developer willing to create THIS MUCH content before a single game is played by the public.

It was played by thousands of people actually across numerous board games events, festivals, playtests across Europe in 2023 and late 2022. Dozens of youtube creators tested it out, keep that in mind. If you've never played HOMM3 in a PC version then let me shed more light to the fact that the game itself is based on scenarios, where you have a pre-defined set of elements, map, possible actions etc. You can have it all prepared in advance of starting to play on your table. As for the other elements, expansions, factions, etc... I hardly imagine a moment where all of that would be on the table at the same instant (hard to imagine such a table, lol). But then again, on the other hand, you probably know there are for example D&D games that take years and decades even :) Cheers mate and if you backed HOMM3 then have fun ;)
