• Pick the Master Hunters. They are the most useful ones early mission
• If you also went for Imbue ballista, restart the mission until to get Logistics and War Marchines early
• Shouldn't be a hard mission if you fight your combats well and collect most of the stats (I, in fact, missed one). However, you need to pray that the game won't be bugged and Biara does attack you; otherwise, you cannot finish this mission

I think there might have been an editing mistake. In the beginning you start with Basic Avenger and Basic Attack, but you spec directly in to Advanced War Machines without acquiring Basic first. Do you remember if you did take Basic? I am also running patch 1.6 and have been having trouble on the mission after this so I keep trying to restart this mission to get War Machines and eventually Ballista

It's a bug. You may have to restart the whole mission and pray it doesnt happen again

Do you think it's necessary to get Logistics on every campaign hero? Sure the movement speed could help, but I usually find other skills to be more useful. For example: Light magic on Isabel, Summoning on Markal for raise dead etc. And btw, how did you get your game patched if I may ask? The only links to patches I found are broken. Anyway, good work as always, cheers!

For the patches, I downloaded them on www.celestialheavens.com/viewpage.php?id=810. You need to make sure you get the correct version though, which could be a pain to figure out I personally a big fan of Logistics. There are a couple of reasons when I determine whether to replace it with something else: 1. How big the mission is - For example, Logistics could be a must for Findan, just because mission five, the hardest mission in his campaign, is gigantic 2. How hard the mission is - If all missions are simple enough that I don't need Logistics to rush/catch enemy heroes, then I don't use Logistics. A good example is Godric. He isn't really a main hero in any campaign, so I just had to prepare him for Zehir's Hope (he is literally my best hero is that mission) 3. I want to make the video short - Heroes is already a long ass game, and no logistics = longer video. I surely don't want people watching me wandering around to much xD For Markal, well, I don't think sacrificing one major skill slot just to enhance one spell is worth it. I just need to make do with the normal Raise Dead As for Isabel, it's just my personal problem: I hate her as a character. I only built her enough to survive haven mission 5. Other than that, I will just let her collect resources, flag mines, etc... If you recall, I didn't boost her stats at all after haven mission 4

@@MasterKD Yeah, Isabel is actually really annoying to play with, but a big part of that is because you don't get access to proper spells until mission 4-5, so might as well just build around that, won't get to use her a lot later anyway, but she can still be helpful in the Markal missions. Summoning is also great for Markal because of the Phoenix, it's really great for the Godric boss fight in his last mission, but from what I've seen you didn't have issues with it (many people report that fight being way too hard for them, but their Godrics also had way too many troops for some reason). Many people I've seen talk about heroic swear by the Light + Dark + Sorcery combo, though, on nearly every hero, sometimes +Enlightenment (even on might heroes). Do you personally think Dark magic is overrated? I find that you can be really aggressive with a build like that, especially early on. It's just that it's hard to fit that build on someone like Findan.

For magic, well, I have my personal preferences as well. In heroes V, each magic school has a color/vibe that associates with it, if that makes sense. So I have 2 rules when it comes to magic: 1. Each hero should have at most one magic school. The exception was Raelag. He sure needs light magic since his campaign is brutal 2. The magic school should matches the "nature" of the heroes. For examples, haven heroes get light, demon heroes get destruction... Agrael was an exception because light helps him in mission 5. I wanted to give Findan summoning just because sylvan heroes look green, but obviously destruction fits his build more. Note that the second rule also ensure I have different strategies. I don't want to spam the same OP dark/light spells throughout my walkthrough. It will be too repetitive to watch There you have it. The thought that Markal, an evil character, can cast Phoenix sounds weird to me. Godric is a good guy, so I don't want to give him dark magic. Personally, I don't want to teach my heroes both light and dark

Haha, makes sense, didn't actually see someone take that approach. It's also good proof that you don't always need 'optimal' builds to beat the hardest difficulty.

@MasterKD, o_O, why do you hate Isabel? I find her very nice and cool. Also "Agrael was an exception because light helps him in mission 5" - his absolute skill (instant gating) helps him too, if you manage to get it by the end of the 4th mission. That plus high leadership => almost no-loss, without resurrection.

That glitch sometimes happens to me. I dont remember anymore but moving Findan near one of garrisons somehow triggers the AI I think

Biara is supposed to come much earlier than that. If she doesnt come after month 3, you will have the restart the whole mission and hope that bug doesnt occur again
