This movie portrays very little of what really transpired during the thirteen days of the siege. The Alamo had eighteen cannon, NOT one as this movie portrays. The movie, "The Alamo" is the best movie that tells the story.

One of my favorite movies about the Alamo. Love the climax and ending.

Spoiler - the Mexican Army wins. Never saw this one before. Kind of short on budget and production value, but not too bad. Decent portrayal of the mission being overrun, and no CGI. I think Billy Bob Thornton has done the best so far David Crocket. The one in this version just so so, but no more shallow than most of the other characters. The guy who played him in 'The Last Command' also did a decent job. John Wayne and Fess Parker just played themselves.

the yellow rose of texas is completely wrong here.the song was written to remember the high yaller slave girl or maybe camp follower who beguiled santa anna .he spent the afternoon with her in his tent and instructed his army to siesta.while they were sleeping and he was making love at san jacinto sam houstons much smaller force attacked and caught them completely by surprise.they were in the lines before santa anna could get his trousers on! he caring nothing for his men fled later dressed in rags taken from a dead peon he was captured as a humble soldier but his men when they saw him bowed .houston did not allow his men to execute him instead making him cede texas to him.

One of the things Texans were fighting for was the right to own slaves. So much for your "noble cause".

Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Chile, and Argentina were all born with Slavery. Do you condemn them too?

Mexico had conditions for the Americans to become citizens, no slavery and converting to the Catholic faith were two of them. Americans didn’t mind the free land but refused those two conditions. Being pushed to revolution from the U.S. didn’t help the situation. Me personally I’m glad it ended up a state.
