Hiro's father, Mrs.Petrelli, Linderman, etc. all talked about how there was an earlier generation of "Heroes". So maybe we get to find out about them. When Claire asked Mrs.Petrelli if she was "like me", she expertly did not answer the question. Hiro's father is also skilled in swordcraft and was somehow part of this earlier generation. So do either (or both) of them also have superpowers that we don't know about yet?

Just incase you didn't see the last episode. We see that Sylar has dragged himself over to a manhole cover and gone through it. You can see the blood smears on the floor (plus everyone else is accounted for). And By the way. The future we saw in the first series isn't the future of the series. That was an alternative future. That was the future the one where the cheer leader wasn't saved.

Because, with the other heroes, there's a clear pattern that having superpowers is a genetic thing that runs in the family. But the biggest "unfinished business" hinted at in the first season was with Molly Walker, when she said that there was one person that she couldn't find, because when she tried looking for him, he could see her doing it! I think the next season goes into the past to maybe explain where all these superpowers came from? Maybe?

But, no, I don't think they will - nor would I really want them to - bring back Isaac. But, as 01hdav said, the timeline on Heroes moves around a lot. It goes six months into the past, 5 years into the future, way back into feudal Japan. This new season appears to be going back into the past. There was lots of "unfinished business" hinted at last season.
