The real heroes of the Superman story are John and Martha Kent. They were able to raise a god-like child into a fundamentally decent, humble, and good man with a steadfast desire to help others. They were the ones to instill those virtues and values into him, and the fate of the Earth was saved many times over as a result of their good parenting.

He's so iconic, it's just a shame that DC has never really been able to get him right in the movies. To me, the best interpretation of him is from the JL cartoon--stoic, sensible, super-powerful, & at times snarky (which makes it even more entertaining to watch him interact w/ Batman). To me Superman is at his best when he’s the big blue Boy Scout. Not all heroes need to be down to earth and relatable. Some of them just need to be ideals that folks should strive for and to me Superman is just perfect for that when it comes to DC. Yes, we need heroes who deal with real life issues, but we also need a man who can flick a hole through a planet and still happily be gentle enough to help an old lady across the street. That’s just my 2 cents. Spend it how you will.

Turn to the people he trusts and loves, who cant relate to that? 3. He isnt just an "inspiration" just because he's good, he also gets inspired by others, by his fellow heroes, by jimmy, by his parents, by lois lane ALL of these things people have or had done in there life no matter where u live or who they are thats what makes him superMAN because everyone can relate to these things at a fundemental level

As a kid growing up in Nigeria in the 2000s, Superman was the first hero I was introduced to and he is also the most recognized superhero in my country. My dad bought me the Reeve movies and the Fleischer cartoons on VHS and I also discovered the Bruce Timm animated series (Superman and Justice League). I love his heroism, his uplifting worldview, kindness, humility and his good morals. That made me an instant superman fan and I remain one to this day. When I emigrated to north America and got into comic books, I was surprised at how different he was than I remembered ad then the awful Zack Snyder movies came out and I just checked out. Turning him into a cynic and glorified weapon of destruction is such an insult. These days I don't read American comics but I still watch the DVD of the Bruce Timm cartoons.

Clark Kent is meant to be a warm-hearted country boy who stands for doing the right thing, just because he wants to (NOT because other people tell him to). Superman isn't just the greatest Hero to ever exists. He is THE Hero, THE Superhero. It's more than the fact that he started Superheroes in the early 20th century, he is hope, he is inspiration, he is everything that makes up the best of people and things and more. There will never be another like Superman, because that is what he is: He is Superman.

27:07 This! THIS! This is it! This what everyone around the world thinks of when they think of our heroes. This is the kind of thing that inspired the creator of Hero Academia to make All-Might. None of this edgy Snyder BS! What people used to love about Superman and comic characters like him was hope, compassion and the ideal that people can be something better!

Ever since I was little and to this day I still say Superman is the world's greatest superhero number one in DC and the one true natural leader of the Justice League. Writers these recent days just don't know how to write him the right way like the old school ones did like Dwayne McDuffie. Also fanboys these days be hating on Superman just because of his powers but he was always more than that, he's also been a great inspiration and a becon to others and the world as a superhero and a leader.

I have been reading a crossover fanfic between Justice League and The Boys. A speech Superman gave to Starlight reminded me of one of the biggest reasons so many like Supes. How grateful he was for the love and kindness Ma and Pa Kent taught him. It isn’t his power that makes Superman one of the greatest superheroes. It’s that big ol’ heart of his.

Apparently, due to Batman's disappearance, Robin requested Superman's help to find him. On the way, Superman figured that he needed to owe Batman a favor by disguising himself as him to defeat Bane in the process, after all, Bane caused Batman's disappearance in the first place, so he thought that Batman had returned to confront him, but he was unaware that Superman defeated Bane. Superman then discovered that Brainiac had kidnapped Batman in order to lure Superman out. Hence, that's the reason why Superman was in Batman's suit.
@lofthouse235 жыл бұрын
I think the suit helps with the invulnerability thing. Besides, by unmasking as Superman pretending to be Batman, he keeps Bruce Wayne's secret safe.

I'm real tired of seeing another "Evil Superman" or someone that tries to deconstruct the idea of Superman, I would to see this idea of Superman as the true symbol of good and pure, a modern Greek Hero whose goodness and strength of heart is what truly represents
@angrytheclown8016 ай бұрын
I would guide you to Superman: Man of Tomorrow. It's a very light hearted adventure of Superman learning what it means to be him, not the S on the suit, but the alien from another world, the human he really wants to be and also how much he likes to help others. Plus it has Lobo trolling Lois.
