Heroic fyrakk disc priest pov | 226,742 HPS | Live commentary

Bit of a warning with this video; You can easily get higher hps on Fyrakk by not comitting so much to adds in p2 as I am, and I was playing around a friend who was trying out disc on Fyrakk ^^.

Hello there! Great video as always, thank you so much! 🙏 A question if i may - at 39 seconds (by the timer you have in game) you used evangelism and after, the 2 rads. Was there any reason in particular? I always try to use evangelism when i have almost everyone covered by attonements. Should evangelism be used on other situations?

Hey! that is desperate prayer, not Evangelism. Evangelism was used slightly later. The icons do look quite similar. My evangelism is further to the left on my bars ;D

Honestly, I think for a full class guide, the warcraft priests discord is way better than anything I could make. I also think the problem with making boss guides for disc, is that they require quite a bit of effort for something that will most certainly change very soon. I'd rather put out these live commentaries, and offer log review help and such over on my discord. Anything more and I feel like my energy is being spent badly basically, much rather put all of my leftover energy on helping people

@@CsStoker Understandable. I think different platforms are preferable to different people. I will make it more clear though in that, I think the warcraft priest discord is so exceptional and has such talented theorycrafting staff that anything just I will make on here will be utterly dwarfed by what they create. They don't however make videos, nor these types of videos atleast anymore, which means there is a space for it. Having my own discord also helps me keep things like log reviews in a place where the format benefits both the player and me, where I can easily link picture that are shown directly in my message to give people a visual of what I may be talking about, as opposed to just talking to a blanket variety of people on a youtube video. If enough people request it, I could make more substantial guides for bosses, but I feel like I'd rather make guides that help people prepare for bosses themselves, as I think this is a skill that disc priests can make use of without the need for any content creator. Sorry for the long message ^^

so you ramp for every wildfire,the orb phase and apocalyptic roar? do you dispel during your ramps?

I do dispel during my ramps aye, more or less off cooldown. I can omit dispels if I am about to send an insanely powerful penance into 20 players with atonements, but outside of niche situations I try and dispel on cd. Most of our reclears we had extra healers though, so it made it a bit less punishing.

i struggle to keep up my HPS when outside of my main ramp. never know whether to start reapplying my atonement or to continue smite/penance dps without atonement for CDR

When you ramp, you are dpsing into those atonements until they fall off. Reapplications only happen with the purpose of ramping into another damage event, they are not decisions taken in a vacuum basically. Planning ahead for a fight as disc is important, so you are aware of how your fight looks, and you are not just ramping blindly ;D

I can't remember how I did it, but I solved this issue back in Castle nathria with my elvui profile. I share it on my discord if you are interested, in the meantime I will try and find which setting in elvui touched these types of adds

I was trying so much, not using elvui but it seems almost mandatory for disc in raid, so easy to track atonements :/

Elvui? Grid2 is the superior option for just tracking atonements for sure, its what you see me using here.

And sorry, another question. At for example about 6:50: How do you give Atonement so quickly without Rapture? Do you use Renew for it?

​@@mattuprinzhey! I do use halo quite a bit, its just further to the left on my actionbars. Renew/rapture are not "quick" ways to spread atonements, they are both 1 atonement per global spells. What you're seeing at 6:50 is power word radiance x2 after my rapture ended.
