Herol Graham is one of the best boxers of all time. We must rejoice his great accomplishments. Few boxers can even match what Graham has achieved. Amazing defence and slick boxing one can only dream of. He was such unlucky to not bag a world title.

The way the ref handled the fight was a disgrace. Never clarified what he was warning Graham for and then randomly docked points. This was the era when it was impossible to get a decision in Italy. You had to pull a Honeyghan and knock them out.

This at a point in Graham's career where he had been stopped precisely once, by maybe the hardest pound for pound puncher anyone has ever seen, where he was unconscious before he hit the floor. Commentator talking as though he was a quitter with a history of staying down when he could get up. Madness.

Very hard to get a win in Italy I remember getting a draw against Mawe baya you can figure out what that means.

All Graham was doing was backing off and punching Sumbu`s gloves a soon as he got into range.

@@markant9534 Graham landed a hell of a lot of good left hands. Both fighters had faded a bit from their peak. It made for a very good fight. If Graham had employed his natural style when he first met Kalambay in 1987 I think he would have won. Kalambay was a fantastic counterpuncher but not as effective when he had to take the initiative.

Right all those shots he was landing on Kalambay were just "hitting gloves". Not to mention he dropped Kalambay twice.

Skilfully manoeuvring his opponent around is not something the average boxer can do. It is not illegal either. Neither is hitting from behind, to the side of the body. The fighter is not supposed to turn his back on their opponent. Kalambay was bamboozled.

Scandalous decision. The referee was a disgrace, and should have been suspended. He kept on warning Herol, and deducted two points for absolutely nothing. The second one in the last 30 seconds of the fight, to balance out the two knockdowns.
