because of a delay, when I first opened this up there was a mad man staring at me from the other side of the screen!! but then I recognized the dressing robe and the hair cut and then the voice and whew! I had opened the right one. and with Harry Shearer. so a pot of coffee and a few bowls of.......and now my morning begins. Thanks for sharing your good works. be well soon.

In 2015, Jerry Lewis donated the film to the Library of Congress, under the stipulation it wouldn't be screened until June 2024. (Hey, wait a minute.... Probably why RH has re-uploaded this interview on Spotify.)

Aww I would liked to have seen Harry's confused face at the "the actor Kevin Eldon" line! Love this, though.

Two questions I would have been interested to hear Harry answer: 1. Does he subscribe to the three-part lifecycle of The Simpsons (series 1-2, the formational years, series 3 - 9, the golden years, series 10 onwards, the great plateau)? 2. How did he bring something new to Richard Nixon, after he's been portrayed on screen directly or indirectly so many times, particularly in reference to Anthony Hopkins' incredible performance in Oliver Stone's Nixon?

CrossingThe Rubicon I personally believe that every episode of the Simpsons is worth a watch because even in the worst episodes there’s one really good laugh.

He said the episode with Johnny Cash was in season 7 or 9, when it was actually season 8. Boy I hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

He makes a valid point about the mockumentary sitcoms. I could never get on with Parks and Rec for that reason.

If you can find Harry's Cinemax Comedy Experiment 'It's Just TV' check it out. I can only remember his and Ann Magnuson's episodes, both of which are excellent.

That's a perfectly cromulent answer to the football inconsistency in TIST. I can believe that Derek is a West Ham fan but only has enough money to be a director at Shrewsbury.

"I'm leaving the Simpsons." "Here's a truckload of money to go on top of the truckload you already get, Harry." "I'm staying on The Simpsons." (the other cast hear of this) "We are going to pretend that we want to leave The Simpsons." "Here's a whole truckload of money on top of the truckload you already get, because you're so poor and you all have huge careers you need to get to outside of the show and we believe that you'd actually quit. No, I won't try Dianetics, Nancy, it's horseshit."

ProjectFlashlight612 Despite the hefty wages, it's probably quite depressing to still be doing something that was once brilliant but is now shit and should have been killed off at least 15 years ago.

***** Yes. That's what KZbin is for. It's fun. It's a game called trolling. You don't have to play it if you don't want to. If you want a proper debate or something, go to some forum. KZbin is not be taken seriously. It's just harmless fun.
