When I saw your swatches I expected to see the herringbone stitch where the stitches lean to one side all in a row. I saw this stitch elsewhere and they called it the wishbone stitch. I really like your stitch and want to try it soon!

The crochet reference book called this the herringbone stitch I can also see how it could be called the wishbone stitch. I wish all reference books would call the stitches by the same name. I will have to look into the herringbone stitch you are referring to.
