Looking back, Herschel was one of the greats : I say that in that he was a serious competitor in college, in pro, after "retirement" etc.. He was loyal to his teams during his pro career, and he was humble player : never got into trouble, never fought on the field, never had ego issues with contracts, never was arrested, never cheated on his wife (as far as the public knows) etc.. The guy is a class act.

Omnipotent Being I really don't understand how he can maintain such a physique with one meal a day. Especially a vegan meal. His muscles would be starving for protein and amino acids the rest of the day. How can you achieve the goal of 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight if you eat one meal a day, and a vegan meal at that? He is a genetic freak. A normal human couldn't do that and look like him.

You don't need 1 gram per pound to maintain your muscle unless you have low testosterone or something. Studies have shown that like 0.9 per pound is optimal for muscle gain, so for just maintaining your muscle 0.6 to 0.8 is probably enough.

@@jmit3491 I mean I agree, to a point. The jail shit I ate fucking sucked and was the bare minimum of what's legal to keep you alive. I do understand now in prison if you have money you can get burgers and fancy coffee drinks with all types of sweets to go with it but still. Most of them dudes eat shit food, wanna bulk? Eat more shit food, milk, peanut butter ramen noodle cakes and honey buns. Lift, you'll swell up, find the guy who's diabetic and use insulin. That's what they do now days. So yes you have the opportunity for better food as long as your hustling or somebody's putting money on the books. If your not hustling or no money... You get 3 shitty meals and no fucking way your getting 1-2 grams of protein per lb of body weight. Not to mention they have no control over macros which is something that's newer. Hell Arnold and them guys were drinking a gallon of milk a day putting on 30+ pounds in a month and using bull steroids. So, to recap, prisoners CAN have access to better food but the average Joe will not be hitting his macro marks. He will be lifting and pushing and pulling and curling and sqauting with some cardio thrown in all while eating whatever the fuck they feed him and he will get bigger and stronger then sitting at home eating veggies and protein powder not putting in the work.
