I have a funny story to tell about Coal Cracker when my dad, friend and I rode it back in May. When we got on, I forgot to give my hat to mom and then dad told my friend and I to wear our hats backwards so the G forces wouldn't yank it off when going down the hill. Well, at the end of the ride, I hear my dad say "There it went." I look back and saw that his hat flew off and I saw it floating in the water at the bottom and 2 seconds later it got run over. We were laughing so hard and my friend had taken a picture of the 3 of us on the ride and he snap chatted it saying "This is the last known picture of Ashleigh's dad's hat."

Brings back early '80s childhood memories. From the anticipation felt while navigating the line through the wood-walled stairs, to the turntable, to the agonizingly-calm launch. Lots of coaster development around this since then. Thanks for doing this! Hope they never change this ride.

Still my favorite ride at Hershey even with all the new rides that they have added over the years. Always after ridding this we head over to the antique and sports car ride(you can hear them while on the coal cracker) good memories!
